The leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State has warned its members against campaigning for candidates of other political parties.

The Anambra State chairman of APGA, Sir Nobert Obi, who handed the warning in a press release circulated among members of the State Working Committee and all the Local government area and Ward chairmen said it amounted to anti-party to do so.

DAILY POST learnt that the warning may have come as a result of the wide acceptance the presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi is gaining across political party in the State.

The chairman said that his attention had been drawn to several unwholesome activities of certain members of the party (APGA) who are campaigning for candidates of other political parties.

He noted that, “You may wish to know that it is wrong for any member to campaign, solicit votes, or attend any activity organized by other political parties or their candidates other than our great party APGA.

“Such development is considered anti-party activity and an act of indiscipline in breach of Article 21, General Code of Conduct of our great party.

“There are several cases of members belonging to WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms that promote and campaign for candidates of other political parties. Not a few even go as far as sharing posts that promote candidates who are not APGA members”, the chairman further pointed out.

The Chairman emphasized that such action was inimical to the overall interest of APGA which had the intention to sweep the 2023 general elections, especially in Anambra State where the party is fielding candidates in all elective position.

He said such activity shall be visited with severe disciplinary action as stated in the party’s constitution.

APGA should better make this loud enough before they suffer what AD suffered in the hands of PDP in 2003 until Asiwaju Tinubu ingeniously stopped PDP.

All APGA candidates will lose votes to the mushroom party lp yet PDP votes will remain intact since most of the elected representatives of PDP are returning.

I just hope APGA can still recover the lost ground. Imagine Mr Alex Otti now using APGA structure in lp! APGA is being naive o.

In fact, APGA is being cannibalized by an appendage of PDP while they watch and sit idly. APC and PDP have defended their political turfs and even expanding and encroaching on each others turfs like PDP winning Osun and Asiwaju meeting with PDP Governors in UK to work out their alliance with APC, yet APGA dey siddon look a mushroom lp that can't even win election cannibalize APGA. Is APGA well at all?

My elder brother who currently holds APGA ticket for Njikoka constituency in Anambra is the one even carrying obi matter for head. He knows the implications of campaigning against Obi in Anambra, because people will revolt against him and he won't even see any votes for him self come next year. Don't worry folks, Obi will clear Anambra convincingly, this I can assure you.

We know a lot of parties that don't have a presidential flag bearer will all align with Peter Obi for their Choice for Presidential candidate.

APGA knows this, APC and PDP knows this. Many of these so called mega parties with structures will deliberately deliver their wards to Peter Obi's LP.

All the smaller parties and well meaning politicians from NNPP, PDP and APC will coalesce around LP to rescue Nigeria from the incompetent hyenas, crooks and drug dealers that have been destroying Nigeria since before 1960.
