For real, the APC have been a colossal economic failure. Too many of our people are living in penury due to some truly shambolic economic and monetary policies engineered by Abuja embarassed
was it any better during PDP era? undecided

If that’s Wike’s end game, then he needs not throw this much tantrums then. Tinubu or Atiku emerging as president won’t be much headache for him. None of those corrupt two will carry EFCC for head and start touch-lighting other corrupt public office holders like Wike na . Even if they do, Wike has enough coverings to come out unscathed from whatever corruption charges that will be leveled against him. Wike’s wife is a judge that obviously knows the law and knows people in other courts of higher jusrisdiction, their are enough SAN’s that will defend him successfully at a reduced rate sef ……..

I don’t think Wike is bothered about any possible investigations into his reign in Rivers’ state , I think he’s more concerned about his relevance in national politics post 2023 general elections .
how many governors truly remain politically relevant after they leave office?
90% of them fall out with their successor
Wike is trying the lagos template - installing a bureaucrat career civil servant [while he handles the politicking] - but we are yet to see if Wike actually has any clout in rivers.

this election will tell

there was a gradual decline from obj's time - like the frog boiling in water. you can see it, feel it, but it is slow gradual and you can hope things will stabilize

but now, in buhari's tenure na from the boiling water to frying pan to fire in short order
and matters are not helped by his financial team whose idea of economic empowerment is dishing out 5k to the poor

PDP was 16 years

OBJ to Yardua to GEJ

the obj years were a great start but not consolidated on

yardua simply froze or reversed several of objs inititaives

as for GEJ - he was simply not made for leadership and everyone was just doing as they please

and this admin has a lot of the same corruption issues

any admin that fails to swiftly publicly investigate, and prosecute members of the cabinet / administration who are clearly involved in corruption is simply more of the same

GEJ’s government was a disappointment, he had everything to make the country prosperous , but he just couldn’t help himself; like u said he’s certainly not cut for leadership . …. He just messed everything up. He could’ve prosecuted the Boko Haram better , he could’ve used the funds at his disposal wella and should’ve clamped down on corrupt people in his government but he was just not man enough.

Buhari on the other hand was and is still terrible . He’s a case of when the head is bad, all other parts of the body will be worse off . He spent most of his first term fighting for his life, he locked the boarder of a country that is mostly import dependent with little or no arrangements made for substitute of those imported goods already on ground, the anti-corruption campaign he rode on to power has been long dead with his anti-graft chairman enmeshed in corruption and abuse of office allegations, Terrorism rose to an all-time high under him and he has not shown to be a better decision maker than GEJ whom people ditched for him. In fact , his body language and optics portray him as a more divisive president than GEJ ever was. …. Yes he’s done well in the area of infrastructure development, but as far as economy is concerned the old man is still stuck in 1984

so back in the day the it guys did not put any proper restrictions on company server. you could just wander around and find all sorts of personal documents

so one day i stimbled on a set of pictures from what was propably GEJs birthday.

the man was sitting on a chair like a throne, surrounded by high flying naija ceos

everyone had a glass of wine. they were all smiling and laughing, but even from the picture, while you could see that while gej was clearly drunk , everyone else just looked like a predator patiently waiting

it actually looked like those school gang rape scenarios where some fellows are drinking with a babe watching her get more and more inebriated and waiting for her to get black out drunk

that was what the picture looked like.

i just respect myself and leave am where i see am.

The PDP era, even with the rampant corruption, was infinitely better than what is being served to our fellow country people today. You know it’s so bad now that staples such as rice, beans etc are almost the exclusive preserve of the rich

The political elite is converging on London and Paris to renew their friendships and end their feuds over champagne and caviar while their battle-ready supporters are online competing on who dispenses the most savage vawulence and who collects the most damaging woto-woto. Gimba Kakanda

I just have to give it to that man, Wike. This recent activities in the PDP makes me like him, couple with the fact of how he handled Rivers State during the Corona Virus pandemic.

I believe the reason why some people are going all out to make sure Tinubu doesn't become president, is because of what he has done with Lagos. They're afraid he'll do the same with Nigeria. grin

On the one hand, my electrician is angry and wants both the PDP and the APC sacked next year. On the other want, he’s disappointed in me for rejecting his advice that I should bypass AEDC meter—to partake in the very corruption that triggered him to oppose the two major parties. Gimba Kakanda

bro we re not kids here..

PDP era was the orchestra of the corruption in which today's Nigeria is been built..

PDP was/is so fantasically corrupt and incompetent to the bone marrow..

No political party has/will ever break the record of the kind of broad daylight corruption and incompetence experienced during the era of PDP

No it wasn't any better but that is why we chased PDP away and ushered a new government. So that they would do things differently. Unfortunately they failed woefully.

Which is why we are all looking for a new credible alternative. This next election is beyond only Peter Obi himself, we are talking about filling in all electable positions with a new class of politicians. From top down.
We do all these in the hope that they will be different from the other two.

bro, Nigeria can not do pass herself..

Stop looking for what is not there..

Nigeria as a country can not be much better nor much worse..

It's just like comparing yourself to Jeff bezos kid or comparing nicklas bendtner to Robert lewandowksi..

Nigeria was, is and will always remain Nigeria..

I don't just want people to take us as children here and beyond..

People telling us so so so person has magic wand to transform Nigeria to Singapore overnight..

Do they even rate us at all? I mean you have to have some respect to the people you whine and lie to..

yes that's the notion I want to portray..

Don't just look for things where they are not..

I don't care about any politician nor what they have to offer..

As a matter of fact I am only interested in how the chess game is been played,

I learn one or two from master strategies deployed by the game masters.. how to be one leg above your oppositions..

That's what I like and that's why I am interested in this politics.. I don't fvcking care about how they'd promise to do BLA BLA BLA or how their supporters are dying for them..

I'm Im for the strategies and gametricks of the jagabans and OG's .. so I'd learn one or two.
