Let me start by stating the obvious; in the politics of a traditional society, the most ruthless wins! Rephrased; no matter how godly and how right your cause is, most times while politiking in specific environments beholden to unsophisticated political culture, the most brutal, the most decisive, the most effective wins over the most decent or the most well behaved. Put succinctly; the end justifies the means! We are way too religious for our own good in this country some times, to the extent that we always think that because our conscience is right and our intentions pure, the Evil ones can not get near us. We then proceed to take avoidable risks that only puts the Gods on the spot.Yet, all we need to do is to be a little more calculative and a bit more careful to scale through..

I have been watching Peter Obis racous movements across Nigeria as the kick off of the presidential campaign period nears and I must confess that I find his situation extremely scary. The former governor of Anambra state seem to not understand the enermousity of the danger that he faces for simply potraying himself as the biggest threat to the status quo in many years. This man walks through crowds uninhibited. He basically shakes every palm put before him unchecked. He lounges into personal discussions with all sorts of characters without proper checks. He moves around airports without any security details around him. There was even a clip of him having a drink at a hotel lobby! From a security perspective, these are very very risky situations that he is willingly putting himself through..

Do not get it mixed up; he needs to interact with the people. Infact, a great deal of his appeal to the ordinary people of this country and beyond (I was talking with a Sudanese supporter of his few days back), rests on this factor. Folks like to see him as one of their own and this boils down to his "down to earth" resume. But the fact remains that while this style of charm offensive gives him the much needed charismatic credentials essential to humanize his candidature, it also puts him on dangerous paths if you take into consideration the ruthless penchants of the ignominious elite we have in this country. They are the ones who are going to loose if he wins, they will never surrender without a fight... Moving so freely with unknown crowds makes him extremely vulnerable to all sorts of attacks from the eternal beneficiaries of the status quo. His handlers should be very warry of this.

When Peter Obi moans about the looting in the Oil sector for instance, all the multi national Oil companies in Nigeria feel threatened. They are neck deep into this unbelievable heist and will do everything humanly possible to maintain the status quo and the have their evil tentacles in every part of the world and wouldn't flinch to activate them if "push cones to shove".. When he talks of bringing young people into governance, the old establishment riddled with eternal kleptomaniacs, murderers and renowned coup plotters get startled! When the crowd sings his name to the face of his opponents as was the case at the Nigerian Bar Association Conference, the older generation whose reign will ultimately end with Obis presidency, starts to feel an urgent need to "nip this reasonable threat in the bud". Obi should be seriously made aware of this and should put his guard on...

Like Theophilus Danjuma once said "if Murtala Muhammad had just a truck of security men with him on the day he was murdered, he would not have been killed". If Aguiyi Ironsi took security alerts as to the dangers he faced seriously, he would not have been murdered so easily... Infact the world of politics is replete with many instances where good leaders were murdered so easily by corrupt minds, simply because they never took their security serious. They believed that because they were so loved by the ordinary people, nothing will happen.., well something happened... Thomas Sankara remains a prime example. We also have to understand that Nigerias internal politics has become a global topic.., what with the enermous discoveries of gas here in these days of Ukraine vs Russia! Peter Obi should not be moving around international airports only by himself.., Just one handshake, and it is over. Ask Abacha...

I swear. Supporters of other presidential candidates in Nigeria sound foolish, unschooled and irrational.
Obi has raised the standard of morality among Nigerian politicians till every other politician looks more evil than before. There's a clear difference between light and darkness.

Don't stress yourself too much, real voters and politicians know that Obi is not a real contender. LP barely exists in many states and LGAs. Nothing is gonna happen to him because he is inconsequential

Do you have concrete evidence Tinubu is behind Funso Williams death? If yes, why not approach the law enforcement unit and tender your evidence so that prosecution can commence, but if no, tarnishing someone's image or character assassination could get you sued, know this.

I'm happy to see you contribute your quota. Most often you lack what to say. Even contents to campaign for your Tinubu is lacking. I'm happy your voice can't be silenced, at least you have IPOB and Igbo to anchor your lil voice on.

Op i understand your concerns. But you should know that Nigerians are a better shield for Obi. Any where he goes, sea of humans followed him up. Can any agbadorian urchin attack with the presence of hostile, aggressive and ever ready Nigerians who need good governance, and go scut free? There and there such person will be history. We are Obi's shield. Any body that Touches Obi has invited calamity. We move

Igbos are better than fulani herdsmen who go to other people's lands to kill, rape, steal and destroy. That's why you are supporting another fulani man so that your banditry business will florish. Nigerians are not hausas that have vowed to be second class citizens in their own land. God pass una. By this time next year, Obi would have flushed you all to futa Jalon where you truly come from.

Even your north is under the seige of fulani bandits, your fulani president isn't doing much about it, yet you want Atiku that couldn't condemn Deborah's killers to continue from where Buhari stopped. Go to Anarmbra and find out how Obi mercilessly treated kidnappers and massob in his days. Even Soludo is doing the needful. If only Obiano was proactive, UGM wouldn't have operated in Anarmbra. Whereas, in your so called North, bandits are been given chieftaincy titles. Fulani herdsmen rapists rape the women and ask their fathers and husbands to farm for them under a fulani president, and you are here advocating for another one, so you can continue your abominable lifestyle. Mark my words, God pass una. Be deceiving people with North 2023, instead of saying Fulani 2023. If it is truly North 2023, why is it not an Hausa/kanuri/gbagyi man? When you are raping and killing innocent villagers, you don't remember North. When it is time for election, you remember North. Call it with your full chest FULANI HERDMEN 2023

khadaffi:

They do. We know this. But strange times calls for peculiar arrangements. It's obvious that the nation is facing increasing sophisticated security challenges, and with the heavy crowd that follows Obi and the fact that there are real enemies willing to harm him because of his brand of politics, his security should be improved. During the run up to the 2015 presidential elections, president Goodluck Jonathan actually provided the likes of Buhari and co with different types of bullet proof cars, as the Boko Haram attacks increased . Buhari was riding in one of those cars the day he was bombed at Kaduna. Essentially, Buhari is alive today because of those cars. If r was in an ordinary car, he might not have made it. Such peculiar arrangements should urgently be made in the face of growing animosities in the build up to the next presidential election, as those who strongly believe that Aso Rock is their maternal home, might start to act wayward..

Another part of the problem lies with Peter Obi himself. I mean his headiness on sundry matters.. He seem to be very comfortable walking around without much security. Lots of leaders who acted like this in Africa, didn't survive it. We saw his arrival at the Frankfurt airport. There was no security in sight. That is his normal routine. He believes that carrying security all over the place is a wastage of governments money and so while he was a governor, he seldom carried his police details from Awka to Abuja. He will rather get some men from the IGP at Abuja on his arrival at Abuja! Well, there is no IGP in Frankfurt or Rome or London to help..., and as we can see, he obviously made no personal arrangements that could be seen physically. I still maintain that this is dangerous, very careless and naive. You have to gaurd against any negative possiblities. You can't wait for things to happen before you act. He has to be proactive because fixing Nigeria has now become a big threat to entrenched diabolical minds.
