You are right. I have said it here that it mustn’t be LG or Thermocool. But the good thing about the aforementioned brands is that they have been tested and trusted across various models!

There are good Hisense models, but the majority are not reliable. Their TVs have poor resolution - this one is a FACT. Anyone that wants to buy/recommend their new generation product should be very specific about the MODEL.

Not everyone has a bad experience with hisense
In fact I'm surprised pple are bad mouthing hisense
My fridge is over 10 years and still working like new
My 55 inches tv of over 5 years is working superb
Microwave of over 5 years blazing
Freezer close to 2 years now
Not forgetting my washing machine 7kg of over 4 years as well

Virtually all.my household gadgets is hisense , sure I got them because of price but I haven't regretted it one bit.

I use a 4k Samsung TV, but that doesn't mean I'll look down on other products. Samsung started the same way too.

i said something earlier - everyone has what they are looking for

i am not in this to support 'upcoming products' particularly in nigeria - which is actually a dumping ground for all sorts of substandard rubbish

i want a 4k tv and a proper sound system - because i want to sit down and enjoy a movie. i want to watch the movie in 4k with surround sound.

thats me. but some people are happy to buy 10 in one dvd in traffic and go home and watch 480p video with 128kb 2 channel audio

i will rather take my time and wait until i have disposable income to buy a product that will enhance my viewing experience , than jump at one poorly supported 4k but really 1080p system with no x265 support because i want big tv by fire by force

i remember two years ago a friends pikin was ill and homebound. i have ALOT of movies, tv shows etc and i copied some for him to watch while at home.

i went as far as to ensure everything was mp4 x264 which i expect runs on everything

na so all this tv could play was avi files.

which is the issue i continue to hammer on. imho, a large number of users are not buying for the utility but as a status symbol. that is also why all these cheap tvs are popular. me too i don join big boy geng. i was just looking at my guy who bought that chinko tv. guy could probably have bought a proper tv, but he dey blow too much of his disposable income on extra marital - which in the end is his own source of enjoyment i guess

i am buying a tv first and foremost because i want to maximize my viewing pleasure

i normally waited 4 months for blu ray rips of new movies to hit the screen. i am not going to blow 2 hours of my life on a subpar experience.

edit - i just remembered - most of the hdmi cables sold locally are actually hdmi 1.4., so the max signal they can even support for starters is 1080p. beyond that your signal will fail. which is another issue . one idiot dstv guy came, destroyed my 4k cable then replaced with those hdmi off the street.

my tv has deep blacks which could not be enabled until i went out and got an actual 4k cable. you want a 4k cable reasonably priced, park and shop has - also ground floor mega plaza.

Odiegwu. By next year he would be looking for an unsuspecting buyer to dump it on. Many fall for it because of that marketing lie that it is by LG. I learned the hard way. I would never touch Hisense with a pole. They have some models that are good, but na gambling. However, their TVs have a very poor resolution. Na only person wey never watch better TV no go notice am.

Thanks to GloriousGbola, the last set of things I bought, I went straight to Thermocool accredited shop at Agege Rd. I no wan hear stories that touch.

You are right about Hisense. I bought a brand new Hisense Refrigerator from Hisense store at Shop rite Ikeja. It was a regret to me. The refrigerator only cools when there is electricity. The moment NEPA takes light, the Hisense fridge defrost very fast within an hour. It was very terrible.
