Dont be to quick to conclude. Dismissal is the first step among the several punishments including deaths after someone is found guilty of unlawful murder in the military. I bet you those soldiers are going to die too.

The military has done their own part after which they will be handed over to the police then they will be prosecuted as an ordinary civilian then the law court will decide their fate.

They will be dismissed so that the law can take its course.
That's the way it's done, dismissal and immediate hand over to the police who will then charge them to court for murder.
