It depends on the etiology, what part of the brain is affected,underlying or coexisting pathologies

My mum has been down with stroke for 10 years too, its not been easy tho. The same stroke also killed my dad less than 5months when he got sick. Its not something i wish my enemy.

hbot and stroke recovery: stroke is a devastating condition that nobody wishes for an enemey. It ties down not just the patient but every other person in the family. Many would need support even for basic things of life like eating, drinking, self care etc. A severe stroke patient cannot be left alone.
To avoid the complexities of caring for stroke patient then you must embrace new ways of treatment. Many of the stroke patients cannot meet up with the clott-buster medication timing.
By the time the drugs are available no reasonable result can be seen. After trying and trying the patient is discharged home to go and manage. Physiotherapy, supplements, good food bla, bla, bla are recommended. They are all good, but not good enough for recovery. When we write, people dont read it, research it and ask questions. The primary cause of stroke is loss of OXYGEN. The loss of oxygen leads to more brain damage. A vicious cycle starts. Movement, speech, memory, mood, reasoning, etc are all affected in various combination and severity.
The solution: hyperbaric oxygen therapy (hbot). This treatment uses 100% oxygen under elevated pressure. With pressure oxygen dissolves in the blood and in all body fluids, organs, tissues and cells. This is an avenue for every cell to be oxygenated and function. Brain cells consume a lot of oxygen normally, and when under stress the demand for oxygen is higher. It is only hbot that can provide this benefit and nothing else. With more oxygen new blood vessels are grown into damaged tissues and more oxygen and nutrients can get to the cells. HBOT has qualities that are not available in other drugs. Thruth is bitter. Let no one be offended. Stroke patients can't decide for themselves so if you are a carer (medic, nurse, relations) the best thing to do after stabilising the patients' condition is to source for hbot especially if the patient does not recover fully in the hospital. If I say rubbish there are qualified doctors here watching and ready to puncture. Meds, I welcome you all to my ranting.

HBOT works! We see results on patients every day.
Many stroke patients recover major functions within the first month of treatment if they start hbot very early. And full recovery is also possible. If they report late then recovery will delay but they must see a change. There is always a benefit in hbot no matter what. I am writing for hbot, so any where you can find it go there and be treated.
Stroke treatment is a team work. Everyone is important. You still need your regular doctor, your regular, nurse, physiotherapist, nutritionist, pastor, gateman, driver, etc. HBOT complements your treatment and does not take you away from your caregivers.
