According to World Data, Macosconsultancy and Wikipedia, Borno State has landmass of 70,898 km, which is equivalent of 27,374sq ml

This figure grossly pales in comparison to the United Kingdom with a landmass of 249,610 km sq, equivalent of 98,628 sq miles.

Sweden likewise has a total landmass of 447,430,km sq. equivalent of 172,754 miles square.

This figure shows that Sweden at 172,754 square miles is Six times the size of Borno State while the UK Is 3 times bigger.


Borno is, however, just shy of being twice the size of Denmark, which has a land mass of less than 17,000 square miles, per Worldometer."

Talking about Nigeria and its perception in the international community, Prof. Osinbajo explained to the postgraduate students some of whom are Nigerians, that it is in understanding the size of Nigeria that the international community can better appreciate the enormity and complexity of some of the country’s challenges.
