Igbos cherished Chief Awolowo more than Nnamdi Azikiwe before the civil war. Late Arthur Nzeribe tried to do that in Imo, Imo people in conjunction with Governor Achike Udenwa fought him and retired him even from Senate from where he went into oblivion till he died.


2.) Brazing Corruption: Igbos aren't Saints no doubt, but corrupt leaders or politicians don't last long in Igbo land. Some of the corrupt Igbo politicians still waxing big today are being supported by Hausa-Fulani controlled federal government to destabilize Igbo land and paint Igbos black. Without corrupt Nigerian federal government and its corrupt electoral body and decayed judicial system, all corrupt and failed Igbo politicians like Rochas, Kalu, Ikpeazu, Uzodinma, Theodore Orji, etc would have gone into oblivion since.


3.) Tribalism in leadership and politics: this is the number one reason Igbos refused to support Muhammadu Buhari even when he picked Igbo politicians as running mates.


Osinbajo is not a Saint just like most politicians but he is a detribalized man and that's why many Igbos still cherish and support him. Same applies to Olusegun Obasanjo, Atiku Abubakar, Ibrahim Babangida, etc.

If he was corrupt the IGR of Lagos would not have surpassed that of any other state in NIGERIA. If he was corrupt he would not have placed very good hardworking governors in Lagos after he left. Corruption does not give good leadership.

As for tribalism, again you get it completely wrong and off the mark. Tinubu was the first Governor to appoint igbos in his cabinet. He was not forced to do that and he did not need to do that. Joe Igbokwe is his right hand man for decades. Akabueze was taken from the east as a best brain to help Tinubu. If he was a tribalist like Obi was, he would have ejected or make life difficult for all Igbo traders in Lagos, or even eject them like Obi did for northerners and Yorubas in his regime. Tinubu could have done that. He could have prevented them from doing business. He could have prevented them from employment in state civil service like Obi did in Anambra. He could prevented their children from free education and refused to pay WAEC fees for their children. These are tissues of lies from hell, that Tinubu hates igbos. Many federal roads in the east have been rehabilitated in 7 years, more than the 16 years of pdp. He has given you free and fair electoral systems better than PDP years. What is wrong if the Ndigbos have a united front and consult relevant sides on the need to project an igbo president for once and see how it pans out. You talked about Yoruba this yoruba that against the Igbos. Have you see or seen where the yorubas converge just to delibrate on how to hate and spite Igbos.
