COS is usually for 3 months depending on your employer.. Just make sure you inform your employer on this development and calculate your deadline properly. Pray they give you an extensuin too.

You can go for biometrics before the appointment date, you just have to pay extra at the venue

It is always advisable to have just the following when searching for jobs because of the expiration period for the documents:
1. IELST for UKVI
2. Care Certificates
3. Volunteering/job experience

All others can be acquired when you get serious job offers.

This is just my personal opinion as that was my strategy even though I had to do Police report twice after the first one expired. I have just received my international driving license after my visa clearance.

Any licensed frsc person who can help with Nigerian driving license can help. I got mine for 15k.
All you need is a cc opy of your current Nigeria license and a passport pix. Takes 3 days max to be ready.

You can do TB test at IOM Lagos or Abuja. Check Google for their details.

If you have the regular Nigerian driving license, there's no need to get an international license.

Both regular and international license are only valid for use for one year from the date of your arrival in the UK.

Is it wise to present a passport with less than three month validity for visa application though the employer quoted this passport number on the CoS. I am processing a new one n i will be going for data capturing on the 30th of september

Please assistance. Wife has gone to the UK as a Nurse, maintenance for her and dependent ticked yes on COS. We are about to apply to join her. Someone told me we will still need Sponsor letter of maintenance alongside the COS. Please whats the difference and is it compulsory? Anyone who has recently passed through this dependant healthcare work visa journey advise on the documents needed to successfully process it. Thanks a lot

Sorry my response is coming in late. I just saw your post.

I'm on the same route. Did the application by myself for the kids and I. Got a decision 3 weeks after biometrics.

You don't need any additional sponsor letter if the employer ticked Yes to maintenance costs in the CoS.

The CoS has covered for all those requirements.

In my documents checklist, I was asked to provide:

- Evidence of marriage (I used MS Word to make a collection of wedding pics, child dedication, family group picture with brief captions and scans of our wedding & marriage certificates, before saving the document as pdf)

- Evidence of spouse's permission to enter/stay in the Youkay (I just scanned her Passport, Vignette and BRP onto a single Word doc and saved as pdf). I also included her offer letter as additional comfort

- Police Clearance Certificate

- My passport.

- TB certificate

If you've got kids, you and your spouse will need to write a letter of consent authorizing the visa application for your (minors) kids and confirming that you will cater and provide accommodation for them during their stay in the Youkay. I even forgot to upload this letter for one of my kids and the visa application was still successful.

I forgot to upload TB certificate for the other kid and I was asked to email it to them.

Don't go and complicate things for your partner. Leave the window open.

They're not asking for when your partner will travel to join you. They're only asking if your partner will travel to the UK or not for the purpose of staying with you.

When you get to TLSContact for your biometrics, notify them of the omission.

They might be able to assist with the additional documents upload, for an extra added value service fee.

You can't be granted the visa without having your passport being uploaded.
