JJuanMiguel:
Where did you get this one from?
Even Adamu has left the country.
FG already gave ASUU a take it or leave it offer, so FG have nothing to do with them again for now. The bitter pill for ASUU here is their witheld salaries FG don't want to pay this time around.
Even some state universities that voted for indefinite strike are now calling for resumption.
Smile there is 2 minister for education not just 1...
ASUU is already divided

I know, we still have Nwajiuba, Minister of state for education. But i don't think anybody is contacting ASUU presently.
I know it won't be easy for students, but people need to forget about them. They think they are wiser than other unions.

ASUU can't extend this strike man there is already emergency congress . Division hit them massively..

State uni said if ASUU extend this strike they will pull out and form their own union

Sure, even the NEC meeting yesterday was described as "stormy"
But if ASUU call off now, they will lose a lot for the first time, that's their dilemma.

They didn't plan well . This isn't the right time for strike so they deserve the lose .

I feel ASUU chair is political.. his body language says it all

ASUU miscalculated, they were trying to use the election as a leverage against a party that is planning to win by violence with bribery and heavy rigging.
ASUU president once gave an interview that people should vote out APC, some people alleged that he's being sponsored by Atiku.

It is now clear that ASUU is on another mission. The FG should desist from further negotiations with them. A few set of people holding our students to ransom because of their personal interest. All state universities must pull out of ASUU because ASUU leadership do not respect them.
What do u mean? We like pampering rubbish in this country. So FG can not solve this ASUU issue once and for all, yet they can buy cars worth a fortune for Niger government, yet they keep borrowing the country into oblivion, yet they keep looting billions of dollars without mercy. What happened to Abacha loots? That one is enough to join to what they have to solve ASUU matter. Why not solve this issues once and for all??

If they had their kids schooling in Nigeria, this strike issue would have been a thing of the past. FG should do the needful simple!!

ASUU is now public Enemy no1

You took 1yr 2020 less than 1yr 6months u went on strike which is bad knowing fully well the economy is recovery from COVID-19 shock..

I just finished taking the test, and what you said you felt when you took yours years back, is the way I'm feel now- absolutely dejected. I prepared to the best of my ability. The way I read for the test even gave me knowledge about feel basic mathematics problems, which I'm happy about, coz I'm not a numerically inclined person.

I could say I used roughly a week to prepare, but I understand most techniques for the type of question set, but time was my greatest enemy, as we were instructed to ensure that we finish all the questions to avoid negative marking. Since I left school, I cannot recall reading as much as I read for this. It pained me that most of my answers were picked randomly, and I'm not the type who do well when I pick randomly. This feels so sad, and I thought of pouring it out to someone who has went through similar thing

So first things first, applaud yourself for even getting through it. It's a brutal (unfair?) test. As long as you know you have it your best preparation and your best during the exam, you can only learn from it. I felt the same exact way both for our WAEC and SHL. And in my case, I had to travel to write the exams o! So I felt even more stupid. Keep your head up. Don't keep monitoring the thread too much, and whatever the result is, don't be too hard on yourself. If God-willing you scale this SHL, start preparing for the AC on the day the result comes out. Having a very good head start is very crucial in this. I wish you all the best

Don't let the outcome of this define you at all! I know of someone who "failed" the GT recruitment and got hired a few years later through the Experience Hire. So do not despair. In fact be positive until you hear otherwise

I scaled through the first stage. God did, even though I highly doubted if I would scale through. Thanks for you words of encouragement.

I did the second stage last week, and even though I'm still having the kind of emotion I had after the first stage ( uncertainty), I've made a decision that in this state of uncertainty and while trusting Almighty Allah, I will begin my AC prep. If in the end I scale through (Alhamdulilah), if the opposite happens (Alhamdulilah).

I would like you to educate me about how your AC went then and the preparatory materials that you used. I understand that going by how this current recruitment is going, it may be quite different from the traditional way of NLNG's recruitment process. However, whatever knowledge I acquire during my preparation will definitely come in handy, no matter how novel the upcoming AC may be.

I had to tag you this way so that you could recall me. Thank you for your kindness. May God reward you.

It has been a few years so my memory may not be accurate. I will suggest you go through the 2013 GT and 2022 GT threads. Then we can discuss any specifics that you want

Thank you for your response, sir. The fact-finding aspect. I've been reading about it, but i will appreciate if you would briefly explain the practical aspect of it, and also the group presentation. Thank you.
