Once Saved forever Saved I thought the Bible say when we believe the Gospel we have Everlasting Life and when I searched Everlasting Life, it is unfinishing Life, unending life on Earth according to John 3 vs 15,16. John 3:15-16 [15]That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. [16]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus also said in John 10 vs 28-29 that no Man is able to pluck us from Him. John 10:28-29 [28]And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [29]My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I thought the Bible also says The Saver is able to keep us without us falling and prevent us from fault. Jude 1:24 [24]Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, I thought the Bible even says the Holy Spirit in Us is sealed unto the redemption of our body in Eph 1 vs 13,14 and Eph. 4 vs 30. Ephesians 1:13-14 [13]In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14]Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Ephesians 4:30 [30]And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Also the Bible makes me understand that Salvation is free Gift, I think He didn't Give me for me to keep myself. And the Bible says in Philipp. 1 vs 6 that He that starts the work is able to complete it to the end. Hebrews 7:25 [25]Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Our Experience or Vision is not the Validation of believer's Life. The Scripture is the validation of our Life. Why is Once saved forever Saved not generally accepted? |

Jamestaiwo:Once-saved-always-saved is not based on the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, this since Jesus Christ instead said that only those who stand faithful - living their life in continuous submission to and obedience to His teachings - until the end will be saved - Matthew 24 vs 12 - 13 & Mark 13 vs 13.  Paul's once-saved-always-saved idea only applies as far as salvation/redemption for the Jewish Christians from God's Old Covenant Law of Moses. That was what Paul taught that doctrine in regards to in order to help His Jewish brethren understand that once they choose to accept Jesus Christ, the redemption which is offered them from God's Old Covenant Law of Moses is never redacted even if they eventually fail to make it into Heaven in the Kingdom of God. |

Jamestaiwo: Before answering the question, let me give you some Scriptural context. 1. CONTEXT Christ Jesus said in Mark 13:13: "And you will be hated by all people on account of my name. But the one who has endured to the end will be saved." (Similar words are found in Matthew 10:22; 24:13) He also said in Revelation 2:10: “Prove yourself faithful even to death, and I will[b] give you the crown of life[/b].” In harmony with this, the apostle Paul by inspiration wrote in 1 Corinthians 9:26, 27: “I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when[b] I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway[/b].” And in capter 10 verse 12 he added: “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” 2. ANSWER And now, my answer. I humbly believe that even if we I am the path of salvation, I must to endure to the end, even to death if necessary, in order to be saved and receive the prize of eternal life. I believe I have to strive to obey God in this race for life, so that I am not disapproved or disqualified somehow. No human can gain their own salvation, it is Jesus’ death that gains salvation for those who show their faith, and even so, it is a gift from God for those who strive to meet His requirements. Matthew 24:13 the Word there says the soul that endureth to the end shall be saved 1 Corinthians 9:25 speaks of we striving to obtain a crown. The doctrine of once saved forever saved is falsehood and a lie from the devil. |

But if you read contextually about[b] He that endure to the end shall be saved[/b] the Verses were talking about those who are persecuted for the Gospel sake, so he said He that endure persecution, shall be saved from it, then He said again, flee that is escape to other place because of Persecution. The verse was not about Salvation. Brother Paul in 1 Corinth 9 was talking about Ministry, if you start the reading from Vs 1. He was pointing about the Reward in Ministry. 1 Corinthians 3:15 [15]If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Work here is Ministry, the Work of a MOG can be burned but He himself shall be saved. Castaway means unapproved, rejected. Brother Paul was taking about Ministry |

That is a lie from Hell, it can only be from Hell, there are tons of bible passages that speaks against it, let me drop some: 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Galatians 5:19-21 Hebrews 10 :26 Hebrews 6:4-6 2 Peter 2:20-22 John 15:1-6 Romans 11:17-22 Shall we continue in sin, that Grace may abound?
