Total tons of minerals (Granite, Laterite, Lime stone and Sand ) produced in Nigeria in 2021 is 89,482,541.07 out of which Ogun State contributed the highest 32,040,043.44 and Borno the lowest 231.00

Contribution per region
South West - 35,462,939.69
North Central- 25,686,644.47
South South - 16,424,266.25
North West - 7,055,654.99
South East - 3,172,152.80
North East. - 1,680,109.89

Ogun State alone produce more minerals than SS, SE, NE and NW all together

Ogun State minerals benefits from Lagos High demand, with the various construction projects across the state and even in Ogun State.
While North Central benefits from Abuja's high demand as well. In both cases, opportunity well utilized.

Very impressive. Ogun state is very massive when it comes to these quarrying and other minerals mining. I expect North central states like Nasarawa and Kogi and the SW states of Osun and Oyo to do better than they are currently doing.

SW is loaded. Literally. For example, Ondo has the largest deposit of Bitumen in Africa. Only those who are ignorant or clannish do not know that SW has the brightest potentials by far in Nigeria in terms of human and natural resources mix and even geographical advantages.

This is why SW leaders are now demanding regional governance and for everyone to go and control their resources.

The general consensus is that 'one Nigeria' is seriously holding back the SW in so many ways.

What is your own tribe contributing to think you deserve the humongous allocation you collect monthly.

SW has everything to survive as a nation. Only money that will be generated from those who see Lagos as their London is enough to develop critical infrastructure.
