Aderewah:Come, what do you mean by better secondary schools? How many SW states do better than Delta and Bayelsa in exams? You are the one in the beer parlor, drunk by 11 am. IGR means very little. It only shows that you tax your people more to increase revenue. Also, the oil companies do not pay taxes in Delta and Bayelsa. 3 Likes |

tctrills: You said people are more taxed in places that have more igr. That’s warped logic. People are not more taxed. Those places just have more taxable companies and individuals. A place with 500k companies will raise more tax than a place with 30k companies. More companies, more employees. More igr. 1 Like |

Aderewah: Oooh didn't know that Yorubas are now called Osu. I guess it is a derogatory language used for those that have abandoned their Yoruba states for Lagos. Civilisation ought to have made your people to stop living in gutters and crevices by now... What went wrong? With time you will be consoled dear. Daalụ 1 Like |

Aderewah:To increase the IGR, you increase tax, even a baby knows this. The government does not perform any special magic to increase IGR. We have seen it all over the world. Newyork and California have some of the highest taxes in the US. On the other hand, Texas has less tax and less revenue. Higher IGR means the government has more money to do more. Lower IGr means individuals and businesses have more money to do more. Both have their tradeoffs. It's not a measure of development in any way. 1 Like |

obotblitz: I have warned Nigerians to stop using IGR as a metric of development and success, they don't want to listen. You will say Lagos is developed and US IGR to prove it, but you ask the people in Lagos and they will till you Tinubu is taxing them into a hole. What a Lagos market woman pays and what a Delta market woman pays just to keep are stall cannot be equated. Meanwhile, you marketstall IGR to measure development. If Lagos reduces tax to make sure it's people have more money to support themselves, you will say IGR has fallen and Lagos is failing. Many nigerians are digging a hole they will not enjoy living in it the next 10 years. Once these governors start using IGR for competition you'll be finished. 2 Likes |

Patrioticbreed9: I never enter Delta? You are a huge joke. Warri is a slum with terrible roads. Enter old warri and weep. Currently, even Bendel estate road is impassable, sokoh estate road terrible, jakpa road horrible. Stop trying to feel good here. The slum nature of warri affects all of us and cannot be wished away Anyway, I am just chilling at Ekpan |

For the record, Lagos is a great city and I'm not saying it's IGR is not a result of it's productivity, but IGR outside of Lagos is typically the result of overtaxing or double taxing. Patrioticbreed9: Abeg 2 Likes |
