Exactly I doubted the picture you posted because arteta confirmed zinny is not available
Actually he was at the training ground, but not fully fit to play yet.

He had a 100m signing back from suspension. Do you want him to bench his Marquee signing just because he wants to prove to Jodera something? grin
You still don't get it
When Nunez was playing lfc struggle to win
Bobby replaced him and scoring becomes easy they scored 9 in a match he got hattrick and 2 assists
Why start a player that is coming from suspension immediately not even putting him on bench
E no shock you

Except because of agenda, e no suppose shock anybody. You don't toss a 100million signing to the bin just because of 2 matches Liverpool struggle to win. Not that he didn't score in one of those matches sef. It's never done any where na cheesy

Arteta and ten Hag are more similar than you may think. In fact, there's many similarities to draw from their tactical systems. Both coaches approach each facet of play in an incredibly similar manner (despite strategic differences with the squads they have at their disposal).United build play in a variety of shapes consisting of a 4-1, a 3-2, and a 3-1. The fluidity of the build-up largely centres around Eriksen's box-to-box Bernardo-esque roaming role where sometimes he stays high & sometimes he drops to help build play. The same applies to the FB'sDalot and Malacia often invert to add an extra passing option in the build-up but also to create a free passing lane out to the wide player which has lately been Sancho and Elanga (likely Sancho & Antony vs Arsenal).

Ten Hag trusts Malacia to do this more than he does Dalot. Dalot typically inverts high up the pitch and stays wide in the build-up whereas Malacia is more involved in the 1st and 2nd phase due to his technical proficiencies and ability to turn on the ball.

From goal kicks, however, they set in a 4-1 shape with the CB's splitting DDG. Ten Hag's team occupies all 5 lanes in attack whilst maintaining compactness in midfield so when United sustain attacks their potential to combine & create is of a top, top standard. This is a theme they can create through technical quality when playing out or after winning duels. United's press typically takes up the 4-4-1-1 pressing shape but their optimal pressing approach comes when the wide players invert to press the centre backs before being backed up by the fullback (Malacia or Dalot) or pushes on to mark the fullback. Arsenal, on the other hand, are *VERY* similar tactically despite being more advanced on an individual level due to the stage they're at in Arteta's project.

Just like United, Arsenal build in a 3-1, a 4-1, & a 3-2 with White often forming a back 3 & Zinchenko/Xhaka in the pivot Technically, Arsenal are much superior than United when building play when they have their best possible XI, but with Zinchenko and Partey being potentially unavailable, that's a big blow for Arteta's men. Neither Xhaka nor Tierney can replicate Zinchenko's technical mastery. Despite that, Arsenal are still good technically in the build-up with the likes of Ramsdale, White, and Saliba in particular who specialise in that regard. They'll be much more secure if Zinchenko plays, so it'll be interesting to keep an eye on his availability which is possible. However, Arsenal aren't totally linear in their approach and will play long to make the game duel-based too. They are also good 1) physically (to battle for duels) and 2) technically (off the back of duels to exploit the opposition in transition or mount sustained pressure). If United win the duels and gain possession in settled play, Arsenal are similarly compact and look to press in a 4-4-1-1 block with the wide players inverting where possible, just like United do.

Each press can be passive on occasion when the wide players don't invert, though. Arsenal, however, want a little more control than that due to the fact that their project is more advanced. That means that they'll have to be equipped to deal with and be better in more situations than United will. That's why technical security is everything for Arsenal. United's general game plan is to be aggressive in duels and attack or press off the back of that, whereas Arsenal will invite pressure onto themselves by playing out from the back more often than United will.

United's press is top quality, so Arsenal need to be on their A game. Overall, it's clear the tactical battle and philosophy of each coach is incredibly similar, although one striking difference is the willingness of Arsenal to play out from the back vs United's willingness to play out from the back, as is how each coach will adapt to pressing. When White and Malacia invert, the more aggressive the defensive block is to match up man-for-man in each instance, the more likely they are to force errors in the build-up. Key components boil down to that factor but also how good Arsenal's technical level in the build-up is. United are a top pressing team. There's no doubt about that under ten Hag, but Arsenal are a top technical team, so the match up is truly fascinating. If Zinchenko makes himself available for Arsenal, that would be *MASSIVE*. If he's unavailable, it's undeniably a big blow.

Arsenal if clever enough will get Man Utd player(s) sent off and Win the match .

Nah, try to rewatch the match again, they still shifted to their original positions before the second goal. During the switch, there was a time Martinelli cut inside and took a shot with his left foot which didn't carry enough power and accuracy. Immediately after that, they were switched back to their original position. .
If you remember vividly towards the end of the game (before the 2nd goal), Martinelli played a good curling ball, but Palhinha used his head to deflect it out wide for a corner. Where Martinelli played that ball was from the right.

And yeah, we switched to a back 3 with Saka and Martinelli playing wingbacks then later to a back 4 when Tomi was introduced. Arteta is really learning in his tactics
I am a kind of fan that is crazy about tactics and formations and so I am very keen on those. I saw Arteta and his assistant shouting at Martinelli and Saka to get the f* back to their wingback positions when they switched the second time. They were only allowed back to their preferred wings when Tomi came up. That second switch was not from Arteta so he asked them to follow instructions.

No just clearing him na
Because everyone knows we needed DM more than tielemans
Unlike you that was arguing with jodera about CDM and DM
Since he didn't mention you, it's guilty conscience bro. Or are you the spokesman for the thread?

By the way the argument was about DM or CM. We don't play a DM or CDM or whatever alphabet you add to the DM. What we play is a CM. We play a CM and two AMs or double 8s. Though one may rightly say that Xhaka is a kind of hybrid of CM and AM. The position of Partey (or Lokonga now) is that of CM.

The difference is that, a DM is a player who is only focused on shielding the defense. An example is Ndidi.

An AM is focused on creating chances eg Odegaard.

The CM is one that does both. But in this case his job is to retain ball possession. Which he does by making himself available to all the players around him. He MUST be a good passer whether short or long. Eg Elneny, Lokonga

Now some players can be so good that they give you everything you need. They will shield the defense, retain possession and also create chances with defense breaking passes. Eg Partey. That is why Partey is so loved. But some will mistaken him as a DM whereas he is far more than that.

The fact even is that Arteta's tactics does not use a DM by default. He shields his defense using zonal structure where his fullbacks becomes inverted. I have explained this things several times but some of you with pride will not accept.

Lol, let us don't go this place grin

Just agree that Partey plays CM for us while the rest of us agrees that Partey plays DM. At least if you bring CM concerning Partey, we won't argue likewise us cos we understand wetin we deh talk aside the nomenclature ascribed which I believe is the main thing

At least, that will bring sanity to this thread instead of endless debate over basic name stuff grin

No.

When he took of Tierney, he asked them to switch, they did for a while and returned to their initial positions after an attacking spell. He then asked them the second time to switch (that was when I saw his assistant shouting) which they did. Later on when he brought on Tomi, they returned to their original positions. These events took less than 15mins I think.

I have taken time to study Arteta's tactics and can easily predict his actions. Just as when I predicted Lokonga to start you guys felt I was joking.

I was also the first to predict that we aren't signing Tielemans, only Jodera later saw my point.

I wish I saw this but honestly I didn't. I was even angry when I saw they switched and was relieved to see them mann their natural positions again before the winning goal.

Anyways, we go see whether such thing will repeat itself next time again. We await!!

Hopefully, ESR will be ready to go tomorrow. I kinda prefer him to Ode as he is more direct and doesn't dilly-dally on the ball like Ode.

With Jesus and Martinelli roaming anyhow, I believe he will have the freedom to make those late runs to the box.

With Zinky and Partey out, our attack and defence will need to step up tomorrow.

We should be expecting a red card and a Penalty tomorrow especially with a lot of controversies in today's EPL matches.
