Flashing d light is not a difficult to fix.

It is common with Honda, Acura vehicles.

Transmission fault not engine.

Blinking d4 or d5 also point to issue in d transmission.

Had same issue when I just got my car about 3yrs ago, called a rewire and he removed something from the transmission side, I assumed is filter. He said it's heavily dirty and clogged, bought petrol and clean it. Have not had that issue since then. Clogged transmission filter can also cause this, and it's an easy fix.

Attend to it quickly

How long have you used your transmission oil? Go and change your transmission oil asap before you damage your fibre.


Make sure you use the original Honda DW-1.

Fix it now before it damages ur transmission.

Lets fix it for u.

Had the experience this morning after washing my engine.. took it for a drive only to have driving difficulties not previously there. I then noticed the blinking D5 light .
The car still drove and cycled gears but i quickly went back home, opened the bonnet and disconnected battery terminals.
After a few hours in the sun. I reconnected the battery and took the car for a spin.
No more blinking D5.
So sometimes it might not be a failing transmission but something else
