We've always been playing high up the pitch this season and it works because Elneny or Partey are positionally sound defensively. The difference why our defence was susceptible to counter today was because nobody was acting as a guard for the CBs. Elneny or Partey would never be caught off position for Gabriel to leave his Cb position and tackle Bruno which resulted in the first goal.

Also Elneny or Partey would never be caught off position for Bruno to pick that perfect pass for Rashford to run through for the 2nd goal.

You think this is the first time we're keeping such highline this season? How many times do you think we've conceded one Vs one? It's hard because Partey and Elneny know their job. When we carry Am abi CM (Lokonga) dey play DM, this is the kind excuse we'll always have —"why do we keep highline."

No now. Awilo won the ball. So there was no need for VAR. It's only when the infringement is on Arsenal that VAR must be used and used accurately.
