Watch all 3 goals, exact same pattern, lack of awareness. If I’m playing FIFA on PS and I suspect such move I will start dropping one CB back. How can both CBs be on same defense line with their opponents CF while playing such a high line. First second and third goal same thing. But let’s blame Lokonga for everything. Since Gabriel is among the spectators. |

iamoyindamola:You couldn’t justify why he should be rested . He’s played the same number of games as Martinelli this season, he had the same number of days rest off season like every other person. Why should he be dropped when he’s not injured ? The boy is a professional footballer and what they do is play when they are called to. It’s not like Europa has started and he’s being made to play Epl, Europa , FA cup and league cup |

Anybody crushing on Mustafi , Luiz , kolasinac and Papasthapopulos can as well create his own football team and sign those deadwood’s for man his defence . As far as I’m concerned Arsenal did a good job of clearing those oafs parading themselves as defenders . |

iamoyindamola:He’s out of form and had 2 assists prior to yesterday’s match . Oya tell me who will fit into an out-of-fine Sana’a shoes if already had 3 xGA in 6 matches . Like this is Bukayo saka we are talking about and not Willian o. Coach wey dey use am no be mumu na . I’d it’s goals u are looking for , it will surely come in due time. For now he’s playing well, even better than most wingers of our competitors. I see no reason for dropping him cos he remains a potent threat on that right wing for any defender . |

iamoyindamola:When he shows he’s totally useless like dem Mustafi, Kolasinac, Papasthapopulos and Luiz . For now we are enjoying his partnership with Saliba . |

Roland17:I know how I lamented here when we weren't able to get Saka deputy. For Partey's, I understand since they wanted to use Elneny as his back up, but allowing Pepe to go without any plans for backup is criminal. The kind of minutes this guy is amassing at such a young age in a demanding position, I just pray one injury doesn't break him down |

iamoyindamola:Football is contract is not about sentiments but a contract of employment . The management of ur company will not ask u to stay back from work because U’ve been performing excellently well on the job from January to August. You will only be allowed to go on leave for the allotted number of weeks and that’s all. I don’t see the rationale in wanting to drop a player who is a key member of ur team just because u are pessimistic and anxious about him getting injured . Why are u not clamoring for Martinelli to get dropped ? Martinelli even has history of injuries more than Saka , yet u are not making same argument for him. |

iamoyindamola:Oya go and terminate Gabriel’s contract and bring Back Mustafi and co na. Shebi after they all left arsenal they went ahead to become World beaters….. Shey ? Like they didn’t use egg to pelt two of them From their clubs after successfully relegating them . Una go dey watch match with agenda . We’ve played 6 matches and only lost 1, but the moment we lost that 1 it’s Gabriel that needs to nailed to the cross. You didn’t see Lokonga’s recklessness and how it bit us hard …. U didn’t see how Ramsdale nearly caused a goal , u didn’t see the entire midfield going to sleep….. It’s Gabriel’s fault , he should’ve turned octopus to use his 8th leg to trap the ball. Of the two CB’s Gabriel was rated highest yesterday , but no …. Na Gabriel cause the defeat

Spy360:All these things you're saying is you giving excuses just because someone couldn't carry out his job correctly. Blame where the issue that broke down the structure, not the structure itself. Two things killed us ystdy 1..Finishing off good chances created. 2..Someone not knowing his role in which Man u capitalised on. If we done these two correctly, na you for they hype both Arteta, arsenal as well as Lokonga. But since we don lose, you just have to blame the structure |

iamoyindamola:I don't agree to this sha. He needs rest because towards the end of the game (and some games this season), he looks jaded but aside that he's been one of our best attackers. Ystdy he was even better than Martinelli even sef, against Aston Villa he was also very good. If these performances he normally gives us what is nonsense, then maybe we have some sort of Messi in our hands that I don't know. I mean, he's been one of the best wingers in EPL and why he's not been at his very best like last season, he's been dropping at least 6.5 this season |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 8:10am On Sep 05, 2022 |
iamoyindamola:Are you serious?? Are you joining Kokane to bash Gabriel as if most of us didn't watch Mustafi? Mustafi that's like Maguire senior brother naim you dey compare with Gabriel? Abeg boss, make we no go there. Make e no be like say na because of one loss we go wan turn on our players unnecessarily |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 8:15am On Sep 05, 2022 |
BlueRayDick:Lol, I no even expect Gabriel agenda Tbh. I mean, how will someone compare Gabriel and Mustafi. Mustafi wey dey cause palpitations once he hold ball. Mustafi wey na him be the forerunner of Maguire na him dem dey use Gabriel compare? This thing called agenda sha ![]() |

Jodera:The saka I know is more than this If we continue managing his mediocre he won't improve Even roland17 admit to his below performance |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 8:22am On Sep 05, 2022 |
BlueRayDick:Facts!! One of the best in the league. He hardly drop below 5.0 rating (maybe aside crystal palace match) so I don't even know the nonsense people are claiming that he's playing. It just tells us the high standard guys have placed on him forgetting that he's even a very young boy. This season, I'm yet to see any right winger in his position that is impressive the way he has been. Not that he's at his very best sef but he's not dishing out nonsense |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 8:28am On Sep 05, 2022 |
iamoyindamola:He's not mediocre to the extent that he should be dropped. He just only looks jaded towards end of matches unlike the Saka I know before and that I see as accumulated fatigue. But in terms of in-game performances, he and the two Gabriel are one of the best. And as for ystdy match, he was the best attacker after Gabriel Jesus in the front 3. Another thing is that White didn't even help him ystdy attackingly yet he still played well. If anybody not called Saka put the display Saka Is dishing is this season, we would have been he hailing him by now |

BlueRayDick:When will Arsenal clear Gabriel The problem y’all have is you Stan players and use perception not stats to attack others you don’t Stan. With Mustafi and Luiz it was their fault despite playing with Guen and Xhaka despite the rubbish midfield. But with Gabu it’s either Partey’s, Lokonga or Xhaka’s fault. Gabu’s awareness and decision making is really poor, for someone that’s hardly pressured. It’s like comparing a goalie that plays at the bottom half with a shitty defense in front of him with one at the top half with a strong defense in front of him. Per pressure faced, Gabu has failed woefully.

Jodera:If you have ever managed people before you will know that people are not the problem but the system or the structure. Fix the system and every component will align. Those that won't align will be naturally eliminated by the structure. That's why players like Pepe, AMN, Torriera etc can't play for Arteta. They are good players but don't fit into the system. What I am saying is this. The team was playing well and having the majority of ball possession which led to equalising. By equalising it means that the home team will push more men forward and increase their press because they want to restore their lead as they are playing at home. The sensible thing to do against such a top team is to set them up by pulling them out of their low defensive block. This will in turn expose their defense line and even make it easier to score more knowing that we were already dominating possession. Had we done this we would have beaten them black and blue honestly. We had them on their throats. They scored the second out of nothing. Lokonga and Xhaka were the cause of this. But I blame Arteta who as the manager did not provide the right system or structure or mentality to manage the game at that point. Why I am not holding Lokonga is because he is inexperienced and wants to impress, but someone like Xhaka should have called him to order. Blaming Lokonga is like blaming a child who wants to please his father by carry 5glass cups at a time instead of one and ends up breaking the cups. Someone should have asked him to do it the simple way. |

eph12:it's not about giving away the ball. Lokonga hardly gave away the ball ystdy sef aside for the 2nd goal which was punished. I don't have any problem giving away the ball especially if it's not at a dangerous place. The issue I have with Lokonga was leaving him DM duties to go play attack which you guys capitalised on well. For all the ball Mctominay lost ystdy, he was never found wanting defensively |

Jodera:I just weak jare. What they are doing is like Man utd fans who stan Maguire waiting for Varane to commit an error and then start slating him. The thing dey somehow, I for no talk but the fact they were silent when we were having it good only to come out with agenda after one loss just doesn't sit down well with me |
