This is why I really wanted us to get Barella this season, someone we could have gotten for 75...

Anyways, Konrad has similar profile to Barella, relentless and tireless pressing, tidy enough in possession to help against counter pressing...

For all the flak Hendo gets, he's still essential, man's energy is impressive...

We will probably sign a minimum of 2 midfielders next season, or maybe even a January signing....We can try to get Barella, but if it doesn't work out, Konrad is a must get(We actually submitted a bid but it was too late, got Arthur on loan instead), then get Bellingham..Caicedo is a decent option but I don't really fancy a midfielder that tends to progress with the ball...

All in all, our performance levels are as they've always been, just not in the middle intensity wise...
Would love to see Nunez run at Napoli's CB's, promises to be entertaining at least....

Liverpool went for Tchoameni with these players still in the team, so that doesn't hold up...Liverpool wanted to get a new midfielder in, prior to Arthur, Liverpool bid for Konrad and these players weren't cleared out yet..We have Arthur on loan now, these players are still here.....We could have gotten somebody in with the knowledge that these players would be gone by next season.... Deciding to not get somebody in is squarely on FSG...

I think milner is still there not as a starter but as a vocal and senior figure to the team...every team needs that senior player to galvanize the team!

I say again, Milner offers absolutely nothing to the team... He is a liability..He should have been left off in the summer...

Can we just first agree that Klopp is also one of the major problems here, for all he has achieved here, he seems a coach that just accepts anything he is offered from his owners believing in hinself to be producing miracles, even a pastor producing miracles often would not get it right at some point , the whole premise of the summer transfer cannot be explained nor justified, so we sold one of our world class players in Mane , we sold 2 more forwards in Origi and Minamino and we replace with only 1 player with potential and still very raw, we approach tchouameni and when he said no and joined Madrid we said it's fine we have tried for this season, unto the next one, I mean this coach literally was bragging that what do we need a midfielder for when we had 8, so just 2 months into the season everything comes crashing.

To all the Liverpool supporters also enforcing the need not to sign players, even the greatest Ferguson always reinvents his squad after 3 seasons to phase out tired legs and reinvigorate the team, here is a stat, all the teams we played this season have ran more than us in the 90mins, how can a coach look at Keira, Jones, 31 yr old Henderson, 31 yr old and injury prone thiago, with 2 young boys in Elliot and Carvalho and say his midfield was good enough, especially when your contemporary were blowing 100s of millions to reshape their squad, what kind of over confidence is that ? Why did it take him 2 weeks into the season to see what over 60% of supporters were seeing if not for pride and over confidence, now he has to manage like this till Jan, I dare for fabinho to get injured and this team won't even make 7th position this season

The owners would not give world class Mane the contract he deserved, and would give only about 20 -30 million net every window, using the same players for 5 seasons without replacing the core players of assisting them by having substitutes for them, last year only Konate, they had COVID as reason, this year only about 15 million net spend, when Man it's failed to replace their aging players when they last won the league the came 7th/8th the following season, when Chelsea under Conte failed to replace his players they came 9th/10th, why will a coach sit down and accept all this , at least let the media be in the know so people will know who is sabotaging your effort , last season we went into all the games till the end of the season cos we had a perfect attack , infact injuries to thiago and fabinho affected our champion League finals cos we rushed the back and we the decided the midfield was fine cos we couldn't get tchouameni, all the rubbish and nonsense talk about the right player , while a lot of midfielders were moving this season but only Liverpool couldn't find the right player , maybe Bellingham would watch us now and would be so excited about coming here when other premier League teams come knocking, well at the end of the day it is dawning on the team now

I haven't watched all of the Liverpool this season but I think they've probably gambled in a few areas and so far they've been unlucky that multiple "problems" have surfaced at the same time. It looks like both Henderson and VVD went from "nailed on starter and pillar of the team" to "safety risks who maybe should be rotated out" over one summer and you also add that to the problems of the injury list (Keita, Chamberlain, Thiago) as well as Milner finally showing his age (soon to be 37). But I also think for someone like VVD, confidence matters a lot and he looks completely shot on that at the moment. VVD without confidence actually feels a lot like Maguire for us - slow and clumsy. I think he's had a certain reputation for a few years now where strikers have been scared to take him on and all of a sudden you see a few do it with success and now everyone will take that challenge on. But I also think the fact his partners are injury prone and he's having to rotate playing with Matip/Konate/Gomez probably doesn't make it easier for him to "settle" into a partnership.

Let's not forget about Salah where at least so far - all the worst case scenarios of giving him 350k a week and him turning into crap has played out. It's not too late for him to get into this season and he could still end up scoring 20 goals (or more) this year, but I don't see that hunger in him anymore and for some players - the hunger gives that extra 10% to push them to the top. He should be playing like a 350k/a week player pushing for a ballon d'or, but he's playing like someone who got his fat contract and now he's just kinda happy not pushing the extra mile.

Fans frustration can't do anything... FSG can't sack Klopp because it will be hard to find another coach like him... A coach that can deliver maximum results with minimal resources...

As much as we can agree that Klopp methods are becoming stale, we can also agree that FSG aren't helping with their reluctancy to spend..
