For those saying God created death

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely *die*.

This is the passage that he used to justify such assertion but I suppose that he is wrong.
Death is the consequence of disobedience and not the creation of God.


God did not create anything and called it his enemy thus "And God saw every thing that he had made and behold it was very good..." (Genesis 1:31) and death is defined by the scriptures as the last enemy that will be destroyed by God thus 1 Corinthians 15:26 "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."


Death has been swallowed up in victory thus
1 Corinthians 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, *Death is swallowed up in victory*. 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 25:8 *He will swallow up death in victory*; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.


Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.


Revelation 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.


Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.


Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

1. Death is the consequence of man's direct disobedience of God's commandment, so surely, you can see how God must have created it to serve as a punishment given His very commandment lists death as consequence?

2. Satan is also listed as an enemy of God yet we are all aware that God created Satan for all things are created by God and hence exist under His rule as a result.

3. When taken in context, and properly digested, the content of the passage is 1 Corinthians 15 vs 50 - 54 from Paul's letter clearly explains that Death will be swallowed in the future - that has yet to happen. Revelations 20 vs 14, tells you that this will happen when God finally casts death in the lake of fire. Jesus Christ is able to do this exactly because God created death and as such, it is within His purview to do so as King over death and the Lake of fire(Hell) that is - Matthew 25 vs 40 - 46

Why create complexities where none exists?

Death is the CONSEQUENCE of the Act of Sin.
Death simply means DISCONNECTION!

There are different kinds of death
1. Physical Death:
Disconnection between Body and Soul/Spirit of a living being
2. Spiritual Death:
Disconnection of a spirit being from God
3. Second Death:
Eternal and Permanent Disconnection of a person's (body, soul and spirit) from God in the Lake of Fire!


Death is the Wages ,Earnings or Consequence of Violating God's Edicts!

Death could also be a spirit who has constituted itself as a jailor of the already dead personalities!

Finally,
The law of gravity says:
Any two masses will attract themself with a force.
He who jumps from a mountain will experience the consequence of violating this law: a fall that may lead to broken bones or even death.

The consequence was determined even before its violation was effected. so it sis with death!
