I Need Writers - Rate Starts At N5/word - Reviews & How-to Guides by BorderlessTrade(m): 8:27pm On Sep 11, 2022
Hello Nairlanders

I need writers! This job will eventually pay up to ten naira per word (N10/w) for the right people, so read carefully. However, we'll start from N5/word for everyone.

I really hate the greedy lots on Nairaland who receive well-paid jobs from foreign clients but are TOO STINGY to pay writers even N5/word. I really hate you guys with passion and pray that the money you make off the sweat of these writers you exploit will have NO blessing in your lives whatsoever. I wish I could provide enough jobs for every writer on this platform. So that you two-faced greedy rattle snakes are forced to look elsewhere for your slave labor.

That said, let's get back to business

Recently I was contacted by a Lithuanian SEO agency looking to guest post on my website and willing to pay handsome $$$ for it. After some haggling the agent greed to pay more than I expected.

This is an SEO agency that usually needs plenty of content for its clients' SEO campaigns. Their agent told me they work with different webmasters and would like to have a long-term cooperation with me. I agreed, but on the condition that I write the articles myself, which means they'll pay for my writing and for guest posting. The agent agreed, but on the condition that I reach a certain monthly volume.

My website is currently charging its way to Google's first page for most keywords. If I can publish a couple dozen articles in the next three weeks, I will hit the required volume to start receiving plenty of content jobs from these guys. However, I need the service of writers to reach that volume within next month. This is where you come in.

I'm already earning from affiliate marketing, but I want to introduce new earning streams. Specifically, I'm about to join Google's Ad network and contract with the SEO agency I told you about.

I want to get into a contract with a couple writers. This is going to be a long term relationship for all of us and will pay well in the long-term. But you should expect your first pay on or before October 30th. This job is not someone who's is need of urgent cash. It is for someone who can wait until the end of October, after which your pay will come on a weekly basis (Ten naira per word).

Your first 10 writing assignments will be paid at N5/word. Then every month, I'll increase 1 naira until it reaches N10/word. But only good writers will be paid this rate. However, no writer receives below N5/word.

Don't worry about getting paid. Even my current earnings will be enough to pay you all if not because I'm running other website projects. But by October ending, I should receive enough income to pay all my writers, run my online projects, and still retain enough money to lead a comfortable life.

If you have been looking for a Nigerian client that pays well and will provide steady jobs, you just found the right opportunity. I have good intention and lots of good surprises for my writers, which I won't mention here. But one thing is certain: each and every one of you will be happy working with me.

So what are my requirements?

1. Strict adherence to instructions
2. In-depth research
3. Good grammar
4. At least 10K words monthly
5. Zero plagiarism or fluff
6. Meeting datelines
7. Fluent writing

Send your best sample (just one) to ppcasher89 @ gmail [dot] com
If I like it, you'll hear from me within the week. Despite the samples, your first job is your test. This position will pay handsomely in the long run and provide enough writing jobs for you every month.

Looks brilliant. But a few concerns:

Don’t you think you shoulda dropped something to have potential applicants trust/trace you?? company registration, social proofs/social media handles, guarantor and whatnot. Just your words, “don’t worry,” on a faceless forum may not suffice.

Turn the tables make you reason am -- how YOU see am?

Besides, how well do you trust this so-called SEO agency?

Did you try asking the SEO guys for some sort of an upfront payment ?

I’m just concerned sha, because to handle projects for one full month+ with ‘faith’ no be beans o.

Offering 10/W, some might have earned up to, averagely, say, 300k

What If the deal goes wrong? How would your faithful workers get their due wages?

Had a ‘lesson-packed’ experience. cry cry

An opinion: Given that the bulk funds isn’t readily available, how about you offer part payment (say 60%) per [agreed] milestone, per article, or periodic (Daily, weekly...etc). Then pay in arrears when your funds arrive.

This way, you gradually build a team that’ll eventually run with the big vision -- not some bunch of hungered bellies with doubtful minds.

Writers are generally under-appreciated and under-valued in Nigeria. Writers ought to be earning some cool money off their works as with IT guys because they are also freelancers with high-in-demand skill.

I outlined that this job isn't for someone in need of urgent cash. You can be working on other projects that pay immediate and still work on this one, provided you commit to the 10k words per month minimum. It may not pay until October 30th, but when it does, it'll pay much better than the crappy jobs I see on Nairaland often. Considering that you'll get enough articles to work on every month, I think this is one of the few golden opportunities writers can find on Nairaland. That's one the reason I'll give these writers N10/word. Because they invest time and effort in this project. I'll treat them like partners, not employees. And it's from these early writers that I'll pick my editors and proofreaders, as a reward for their trust.

I can pay all writers right away, but I'm running much bigger online projects that are sucking a good portion of my income. The pay date isn't too long - just about a month and two weeks away.

You'll learn more about me and the project when you get in touch. Ask all questions via email. I'll provide all the proofs you need.
This SEO agency is already paying me for guest posting, but will only release bulk content jobs when I hit a certain monthly volume. I operate in their type of industry (VPNs, Money Transfers, Crypto, and Financial QAs)
Nothing will go wrong because we already have an agreement. My monthly volume is the only barrier now. Besides, even income from my affiliate marketing alone will take care of these writers if not for other website projects I'm trying to round up by October ending.

I won't commit to an earlier date for compensation cos I don't want to fail anyone. 30th October is the date I'm confident they'll all get paid in full.

Thanks for your observation.

I answered his question. Just incase it might cool your mind, here's a screenshot of one of the invoices they paid for guest posting on my website. I haven't any doubt that this project is already a success. I just need to increase my website's monthly visits to start working on these guest post articles. Mind you, this invoice is just for posing a 700-word article on my website. They wrote the article, not me. This price increases with increase in website traffic.

Does the "no plagiarism" requirement you have listed up there, apply to the sample article? Do you mean a fresh content not published anywhere be submitted as sample? I have written for several blogs and websites, but do not have a fresh sample. Can I not use one of those as samples?

I'm currently vetting applicants. If you haven't received an invitation from me on Google Chat, I'll send out another batch of emails after screening the current applicants. Most aren't good at all. Only about about 2 or 3 out of 10 applicants meet the required standards, and I need about 10 - 15. When it's your turn, please understand the instructions and ask questions where you are confused before starting to write.

After this guy don claim SEO agency

5 naira per word and company

The werey has ghosted the Google Chat Space he created

I interacted with some of the writers and he obviously stole their work and ghosted them

Thank God this was just a short-term stuff

Imagine if they actually worked till October for him

Nigeria is a very terrible place to work online

I remember a writer on Google Chat asking the guy to give his Linked In profile, Upwork, or website name

Baba dutifully and stylishly ignored

Writers in Nigeria are always underpaid, shortchanged, and now frequently scammed of their pay

Please let this be a lesson, never work for anyone who wants you to complete many tasks before paying

Freelance writing isn't company work where I can call my boss when it's time for my payment

You can easily get duped, I'm a living testimony

I never touched the article they assigned to me, I was just observing to see what would happen after the first submission

And to no surprise, werey ghosted

Talmbout 5 naira and 10 naira per word for almost 60 days

Imagine how much the writes would have worked if they worked for him

He would have been owing each writer at least 300k and he claimed he needed 15 writers, ----

He would be owing about 4.5 million

Where is he going to see that kind of cash?

And to you, next scammer planning to scam the hardworking writers, pray that you don't leave many traces online

I will personally work to track you down, you frauds can't keep extorting writers and going free

I once wrote a 3k word sample for an "agency" on this platform,

After submitting, I just got a one sentence reply, "sorry the article doesn't meet expectations"

I decided to check this article with plagiarism checkers almost 3 months later, only to see that they published it to their site

Don't worry, keep scamming

It's no longer everyday for the thief, one day for the owner,

The owner will soon catch you

BorderlessTrade:

After this guy don claim SEO agency

5 naira per word and company

The werey has ghosted the Google Chat Space he created

I interacted with some of the writers and he obviously stole their work and ghosted them

Thank God this was just a short-term stuff

Imagine if they actually worked till October for him

Hi, I noticed the workspace group wasn't available any more. Did you delete it? I sent a test article to your workspace chat, though.

He's scammed y'all bro

Thank your stars

Imagine if he allowed y'all to work the whole month till October

I was the guy that asked for his socials.

As soon I as I saw him ignoring those, I knew he was a con artist on rampage.

I jejely exited the workspace and wished other writers the very best. He wanted us to trust him without giving something as much as his socials or even name of the agency he claims to be working for with proof.

Lol, what a joke.

My deepest sympathy to other writers who actually spent their time and efforts to write the sample article for him.

And just like you said, they should be glad it was only one article he stole.

Writers desperation is actually what causes all of these.

So this guy was low key con artist? Or the deal with his employers didn't pull through? He sounded so convincing. And 10N per word was sure juicy. Well, the many hazards of online hustle.

Big ups for asking him about his social details

Immediately you asked that question and he avoided it, I just quickly realized that he's just another Nigerian scammer who wants to eat up good writers

He's collected at least 15 to 20 articles of 1k words each, that's a lot of hard work and money

First of all, his nairaland username, his email, his workspace name, none of them were consistent

He kept using anonymous names like "ppcasher"

You saved me from writing that test article,

Immediately you asked for his social proof and he didn't give, I waited to see what would happen

So sad, other 20 or so writers fell victim

10 Naira per word was meant to entice people to wait for the light at the end of the tunnel (October 30th)

He knows that if he offered 2 or 3 naira per word, nobody will come through for that kind of offer

But the thought of working 10 naira per word obviously will entice a lot of writers to overlook the almost 2 months wait in the hopes of earning at least 300 or 400k

Thank God he couldn't continue with the con, imagine if he ran with it for 60days or more

If you submitted any article to him and you're seeing this thread now

Please keep checking for plagiarism online with any free plagiarism checker, like 1text.com,

Once you spot 70% or 100% match online, just know that website is the one where your article was published

Try to find any valuable contact on the website to complain that your article was stolen

I'm very sorry but this is the very best you can do now
