Dont this INEC have seasoned IT expert? There are ways to isolate multiple registration and validate just one from the same registration.

I just finished doing a thorough reconciliation exercise with an institution where we had duplication and multiplicity of the same data from my Clients account but with different reference numbers. We noticed it and reconciled back, invalidating multiplicity and selecting just one in each case where we verified duplication. Here in INEC, it is outright cancellation, which will result in disenfranchisement of peopel and some people are here supporting it because it is perceived that greater percentage of "casualties" will come from the opposing side. Nigerians and their backward thinking.

We criticize bad things when it affects us but clap when it affect the other person. Greed and envy in all facets of our national lives. We should all endevour to hold government to an account to do the right thing at all times. The discuss above is so disgusting.

I registered in Lagos and I registered in Jos, or I registered in 2 different polling booths in the same town, which one will INEC validate? Mind you this is not a case of I registered in 2015 and I registered again in 2022….no! I registered twice during the same 2022 exercise, what were you trying to achieve by registering twice if not that it was a deliberate attempt to be fraudulent and vote twice. The onus is not on INEC!!! You disenfranchised yourself by registering twice…it is illegal to register twice, in a same functioning country you will be prosecuted!!!!! It is electoral fraud to register twice or to attempt to vote twice. Let’s not promote criminality!

Going by the reasons for the delisting, it is safe to assume that most of it are from the south.

They are mostly those in the diaspora, particularly the unpatriotic violent ipob terrorist group members and their sympathizers recruited by HE Obi, doing online registration and never able to complete their registration.

Actually this is different there are some student that registered while how's n school and re-registered at home, there are people that lost their card instead of filling for a replacement they registered for another, I was saying this earlier this year that proper voters education is necessary

Multiple registration can be screened out to pick just one if it meets other criterias... why delete an honest mistake?

Internet issues could make one register multiple times. People make multiple bank transfers to one person in error.

A well profound system is supposed to detect double and invalid registration and as well automatically reject allowing it into the system, the idea of delete is to weaken one political party, we know

To those gloating and celebrating about this list affecting mostly Igbos, they should realize this report was for registered voters between June 2021- January 2022. Within this period, there was no Obi. Igbos and Nigerian youths weren't going out en-mas to register at this period.
Make of this what you want.

You call this an honest mistake? someone that knows well that he or she registered in the past and still deliberately registered again because he couldn't find the previous card or couldn't go to the previous region to collect his card.

And his can't be compared to multiple bank transfer error. Internet issue cannot cause this one because the people would have been captured twice for his or her registration to show twice.

So you guys actually agree that Obi is responsible for the SURGE in voters' registration? grin grin

When we said it was the Peter Obi Effect driving the youths in registering, you people were crying and calling us names and liars and all sorts. You give potential reasons for the INCREASE in registrants. Travelling, NIN, Official requirements.

Now that INEC says it is delisting about a million people, why are you pinning it on Obi, when you claimed he WAS NOT the initial reason for the rise? Why do you not think the delisted voters are people who want to travel out or people who have no interest in politics, but just wanted a means of identification?

If you believe that the delisted voters are rash, excited Obi supporters, then you'll agree with me that Obi supporters are actually walking their talk. grin grin If you believe most of them are from the South, then you'll agree that Southerners are not just online mouth-makers... you cannot turn around to then claim Southerners are not participating in PVC collection and voters edu. if you're foisting this INEC report on them.

Keep in mind, though, that are still PLENTY young, new voters who haven't been delisted, so y'all should save your tears of joy for now ehn... it's not yet time, lmao.

Which surge please? His SE is still the zone with the least of registered voters and most ipob diaspora and sympathizers delisted had earlier been included in the low minority registered voters from the SE zone.

The report clearly said newly registered voters.

Again, why are you pinning it on Obi if he had zero political clout, and not on existing registrants?

I think you believe many BATIKU supporters already have PVCs and are previous voters, so it's safe to assume that they cannot be the ones being delisted now.

So that leaves what/who? If you think these delisted registered are Obi supporters, then you'll agree that Obi does have supporters that are interested in getting their PVCs... the last I checked there was about 12 million voters and 8 million voters are youths. If you remove 1 million people from that numbers you still have 7 against four or 8 against three...

You have no idea of the numbers of Obi youthful supporters who registered correctly, for over 1 million of them to be delisted now grin.

So as I said again, relax. It's not yet time to put on your dancing shoes.
