Due to the Academic Staff Union of Universities' ongoing strike, some Nigerian students on Tuesday blocked the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The students barricade the road at the Sagamu Interchange section of the road. Just Media TV had earlier reported that the South-West zone of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), on Monday announced the start of a demonstration on the Lagos-Shagamu Expressway. The association claims that the protest was organized as a result of the Academic Staff Union of Universities' ongoing strike action.
