A Facebook user has taken to the platform to share photos of a dead whale washed ashore in Foropah community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa state on Tuesday morning, September 13, 2022.

Photos posted by Facebook user, Nimi Emmanuel show some locals cutting meat from the decayed sea creature.

I am not the OP but i am from Bayelsa.Bayelsa is more beautiful than this. All these things are normal things for Ijaws.

In Bayelsa we kill sharks as well as whales among others.

We are not Nigerians. We are Ijaws. Ijaws are for Ijaw Republic. We produce over 90 percent of all Nigerias crude oil both onshore and offshore but were unjustly balkanized into six states when we are fully together.

There's nothing in bayelsa apart from the shores and inhabited beaches. Very dry state. Even the capital yenogoa is an eyesore.
