I have always been impressed with the development of Kano State having lived there for many years. Despite its dynamic politics that has seen power ebb and flow from one party to the other and one political general ousted in battle, only to rise from the dead yet again, they just keep moving onwards and upwards rapidly.

There is no State anywhere in Nigeria where democracy works so well as in Kano for its development and it shows. The concepts we see today had their origins in the defunct NRC government of Kabiru Gaya with Gov. Rabiu Musa taking it to great heights and everyone after following doggedly despite all the upheavals ever since. Quite commendable.

That's one of our major problems, we so much focus our attacks on the federal govt and allow state governors and get away with their incompetence.
I believe if we are able to hold our governors, reps and senators accountable, they will do the work of holding presidents accountable
