mostob:Odegaard is the best we have for that no10 role and he will have to reinvent himself and also learn to play double foot. Another person is ESR. Abou Diaby is OK (his type as he is no longer playing) but the rest you mentioned are totally off especially Xhaka. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 9:01pm On Sep 14, 2022 |
Spy360:Odegaard can't play such role...he is not physical enough. The day you play him in that role together with Partey, Partey won't last 30 minutes before going off. What of Xhaka and Partey? Martinelli will drift infield while the LB overlaps with Xhaka covering for both. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 10:06pm On Sep 14, 2022 |
mostob:Odegaard is acting as a 10(attacking midfielder) and not necessarily a pivot to Partey |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by ObaIgwe1: 1:06am On Sep 15, 2022 |
Spy360:Good formation on paper but the overload on Partey and Odegard will kill it... But it might work if all we want to do is attack and break down a bus parking team... Otherwise make we gently manage our glassy Partey. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 5:53am On Sep 15, 2022 |
mostob:Unless we are playing Xhaka - Partey as a double pivot without an AM. That will become a counter attacking formation. It will be OK against bigger teams. |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 5:56am On Sep 15, 2022 |
Jodera:Exactly. If we use Xhaka in a double pivot then it becomes a counter attacking formation. Which will be quite useful when defending against bigger teams may be after scoring first. |

Spy360:if we include Xhaka, then it'll turn to a 4-2-2-2 formation That one na strictly counter ![]() |

Who else is tracking that Mudryk of Shahktar Donetsk? I think that's the perfect baller to make Saka rest. Sweet left foot. Can also play as a 10. I think we need to grab him. January better be active. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 1:15pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
Spy360:Sadly, we no get time for that reinventing, especially this season. Even if he wants to, he can't cos he will burden his other CM. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 2:06pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
daveP:When I watched only that guy's clips when we were linked to him this summer, Omo I wished we could just get him. His vision, flair, use of both feet and the way he moves with ball are things that made me wanted him and I had belief we would get him before the window shuts. Hopefully we'll get him in January, if not, with his excellent UCL performance he might just be bigger than us |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 3:28pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
daveP:This can only be adapted during in game changes. Your are right. Changing the starting line up formations based on experiment is not wise. I look at Liverpool now and see how moving Mane has affected them seriously. Even Salah doesn't look dangerous again. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 3:30pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
daveP:I believe we already have personal agreement with him which can be improved. He wants to join us. Our performance this half season will determine a lot for us. Adding Modryk and Danillo will take us a notch higher in the top teams in the PL. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 3:37pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
Jodera:In that formation,Ode can't act as a 10 bro. That will expose our Midfield. We will only have just 2 midfielders so Ode doesn't have the skillset. I mentioned Diaby as the perfect partner for Partey in that formation. Compare Diaby and Ode and let's see how Ode meet up. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 3:39pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
Spy360:We can still dictate... depending on the opposition though. Xhaka and Partey doing the distribution while Jesus will have the space to roam. And if any of Partey and Xhaka finds himself upfield, the FB will do the Inverted Midfield thing. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 5:07pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
mostob:I believe you have an idea which may work. One thing about formations is that anything is possible and workable until your opponents find out |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 6:54pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
mostob:To be honest, as long as it's 4312 with the 1 being the hole(that's linking the midfield with attack), then Odegaard is the perfect personnel presently to carry it out but this time with increased workload and increase creativity. Moreover, the two wingers flanking him will also be very very defensively aware too, so I don't think Odegaard can't work in that formation except he's not quick enough. Diaby can someone work sha but I'm presently having vague memory of him cos most of his time here na for treatment table |

Jodera:Arteta might try it this season...don't be surprised. Jesus and Nketiah kinda have this synergy between them. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 8:21pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
Imagine a month without Artetaball.... Why would they postpone today's match sef...why can't we just play it behind closed doors...with that, there won't be crowd and need for police. And now I might still be in church by 12pm on Sunday which means I'll definitely miss the match. Another boring 2 weeks of international break. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 8:25pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
mostob:We would have tried it in preseason but we didn't so I'll be surprised if Arteta would try it this season. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 8:31pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
mostob:Lol, playing it behind closed doors wen we no dey under punishment? ![]() So those who have bought the ticket for the match, what will you tell them? Abi you think say Kroenke go refund their money? Even if option dey for kroenke to transfer their tickets to another match, what will you tell kroenke and Arsenal? That they should lose huge revenue they're suppose to expect from arsenal Vs PSV because of Queen's death? As a businessman, will you agree ![]() Sunday no far again, just go earlier this time abi no early church service? Even me sef, na early church mass I don adjust my going to ![]() |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 10:50pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
Spy360:even that white at RB experiment no dey work, na big luck say we never misfire from that angle like that. How much more a midfield that is still getting new shape |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 10:52pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
Spy360:As this schedule has favoured us this September, we better capitalize. This October schedule will see us needing all legs available down to academy boiz. I can't wait for these two additions. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 2:16am On Sep 16, 2022 |
Jodera:For the ticket matter, there will always be a way around it. Our Man City game will probably be played on the weekdays of UEL Rof32 |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 5:59am On Sep 16, 2022 |

daveP:I know that FFP must have affected our adding the players, but by January it will be done deals for us. Those two will really make huge difference for us |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 7:55am On Sep 16, 2022 |
mostob:......Which is to transfer their tickets to another match right? i.e instead of the ticket to be valid for only the PSV match, since it's behind closed doors now, the fans can now use it for let's say Bodo/Glimt match. While that is very possible but do you think Kroenke and arsenal board would want to lose a huge revenue from that PSV match just because it was behind closed doors?? As for that man city match, I guess it's still next year. Hopefully, we don't meet them when we're weak same way we met tottenham when we were week last season ![]() |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 7:56am On Sep 16, 2022 |
Spy360:Thought it was 352 formation which was even the same formation we played when we were trailing 2-1 against Fulham? |
