Biafra did not declare war against Nigeria.

War is not fought by blocking food from children, as Nigeria did against Biafra.
The war was caused by massacre of Eastern Nigerians in the North, coupled with Nigeria's refusal to abide by the Aburi Accord Nigeria signed in Ghana after meeting with the Biafra side in front of Ghanaian authorities.

I really love the great Igbo tribe even though I am not Igbo. Even in the face of oppression the fear no one, they speak their mind and fear no idiot. It's futile trying to alter history when the participants in the events are yet alive. The Igbo brought the consequences of their actions and deeds upon themselves. The coup of January 15th 1966 was an Igbo coup against the constitutional government of Nigeria, pure and simple! Witness the fact that no Igboman was killed in the coup, while they decapitated the elites if the other Regions. It's the same way the Peter Obi quest for President is today being camouflage as a national youths project. An Igboman became head of state. He was urged to bring the coupists to book so as to assuage the feelings of the northerners who had their leading lights murdered by the coupists, but he refused! Later, he abolished the 1963 constitutional order, upon which our federalism was based and instead, he enacted the Unification Decree 34 of 1966 and created a SINGLE civil service for the whole country. The situation was becoming unbearable, leading to the reprisal killings of the Igbo in northern Nigeria and the counter coup of July 1966, and subsequently, the civil war. Before the January 1966 coup, Nigeria's intergroup relations was mostly peaceful. So the Igbo had it coming. Playing the victim now is out of it, and whatever the versions of the history of Nigeria of those turbulent days that were told the Igbo children in their little huts back home cannot stand in the face of reasonable appreciation of true history. Thus, in vain shall the Igbo await any apology, any reparations and any remorse from their hurting compatriots.

Don't mind the kids and their elder ones who wants to twist history.

The Finance minister knew that only a few of the refugees running from one town to the other, would be able to still have any proof of having account in a Nigerian bank before the civil war.

Till today, Nigeria has waged economic and political war against the Igbo.
The British had a referendum over membership of EU. Why does Nigeria fear referendum on who wants to be a Nigerian?

I get her point better now. I differ with her on how she went about it.

I don't want any unvotable crown over Nigeria like the great USA, but we can be cordial with the UK.

I also cannot deny my admiration for the history and legacy of the British royal and other legit royals.

The War when well analyzed was a military palava,the coup was carried out by a Man who never truly identified with Igbo,He was more Northern by Birth and Mind,but ofcus due to the long years hatred and envy some people have for the blessed ndigbo they took it as an opportunity to carry out killings on the Igbos in the streets of all Northern States which led to secession,need I remind you that the Northerners did not start killing unarmed Igbos in 1960,there had always been pre planned and organized unprovoked killings of Igbos up North which was in most cases done after the Friday prayers.
It's a Shame that the Foundation of this Union was never built on core values and spices that Unites and Creates the Philosophy of National Trust and true Nationality which is the major problem we keep getting today.
It was a war of fear of Numbers and Fear of Social-Economic Progress.
If Only we harnessed this two factors well enough from the beginning perhaps we could have been enjoying a better Country with true Countrymen today.
Being Igbo is a blessing anytime any day but I truly doubt if being Nigerian has truly been a blessing to the parties of this Union.

Rather they should demand apology from azikiwe and his collogues that misled their tribe.

When other regions wanted to stay alone as independent country, its azikiwe that insisted on one nigeria.

When awolowo went to azikiwe to form government so that azikiwe would lead the government, azikiwe rejected and ran to north to form government with them.

Igbos were highly represented in Tafawa Balewa government, but igbos were not satisfy, they wanted ways to dominate other tribes totally, they planned coup and killed leaders of other regions and did not kill any of of their leaders.

When the coup failed, they switched to their other plan which was biafra.
That led to biafra war.

Did the USA not the Nigeria state during the civil war..
Why is she blaming only the UK, why don't blame the whole countries that support Nigeria..
Other tribes died in the war, should other tribes start blaming the French , Israel because they support Biafra

What all other countries gave Nigeria no where compares with the massive military support Britain gave Nigeria to help Nigeria kill Uju Anya's family and people

If other tribes were killed in the war, let them feel free to use tweeter like Uju Anya did.
