I know that FFP must have affected our adding the players, but by January it will be done deals for us. Those two will really make huge difference for us
Anything to make us not really miss any key player like last two seasons is highly highly welcome. Infact key players should not be getting 5 to 7 consecutive starts again. But what can we do?

I won't mind Modryk in January though...

But we will have 3 options for Midfield in January..

Danilo
Tielemans
Douglas Luiz

I would take the first and the third.

Well, I expect this upcoming WC not to 'hurt' us real much as there are some players that will make it back early (if you don't Gerrit forgerrit grin grin)

Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands
We don't have any key player representing any of these countries currently in our squad.

Group B: England, Iran, USA, Wales
I expect England to make it out of this group but with Southgate, not so far. Who ever came second will be home early cheesy so I expect Turner (not that he is important sha) to be back asap. Pickford may currently get the nod so Ramsdale should be back afresh. With the plethora of attackers England boast of, Saka will likely see moderate minutes. If at all England makes it far and Saka is back half fresh, Marquinho should be able to take over then. ESR , Nketiah Holding and White are debatables.

Group C: Argentina, Mexico,Saudi Arabia, Poland
We don't have any key player representing any of these countries currently in our squad.

Group D: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia
My major fear here is Saliba. France has the talent to make it far but the winner's curse may well work in our favour here cheesy so Saliba should be back early.

Group E: Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan
Tomiyasu is a key player for Japan but could be back early. Germany and Spain will likely make it out of the group so we should have nothing to worry about.

Group F: Belgium, Morocco, Canada, Croatia
Lokonga making the Belgium squad is highly likely now due to the exposure he is currently enjoying but may likely not be a regular starter at the tourney. Even at that, he is not a regular for Arsenal if all players are fit. We should have no problem with him.

Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon
This group is a bit terrifying. Switzerland and Brazil will likely make it out with Brazil a strong contender which means we may be missing our key players in Xhaka, Jesus, Gabi, Martinelli. Marquinhos should be at home as there's no way he would make the squad ahead of Rodrygo, Raphinha and Antony. Martinelli may not make the squad too due to a lot of competition (Everton, Neymar, Richarlison,Vinicus) Jesus and Xhaka will no doubt see a lot of minutes and may not be back fresh. Finger crossed

Group H: Portugal , Ghana , Uruguay, Korea Republic
Vieira and Soarez, if part of Portugal's squad will likely not be starters for them. Partey is Ghana's star man but he should be back early. Uruguay and Portugal will likely make it out of the group. And if Ghana do prove me wrong, the should be back home early too IYKYK grin

All in all, Gabriel Jesus will be the only one we can be sweating on. Xhaka, going by his injury records shouldn't be a problem.

Nketiah is looking to represent Ghana so he might not come back fresh too

Don't bank on Ghana not going far cos with the crop of players that wants to nationalise with them, they might qualify. Hopefully, Partey doesn't get injured.

I don't think Martinelli might be called up with the kind of form Brazil have in that wing. Rodryo wey don dey garner much madd form is even making things difficult for Martinelli.

All in all people who might see most minutes are Partey, Xhaka, Tomi and Jesus

Moderate/least minutes : Saka, Gabriel, Saliba

I feel we might not be too affected sha if no injuries affects any of our key players during the mundial, especially if most of the countries didn't go far. Once they're eliminated, that's another rest for our players to recharge themselves.

So aside injuries, it wouldn't be as bad as we dey reason am

World cup is 2 months away yet Nketiah has not switched? He may later switched though. As for Ghana not going too far, it is my own prediction and it's still a probability but there is no way they're qualifying from that group. Trust me grin grin

The bolded is one of the major reason for my post. We shouldn't be too affected. I'll probably do same thing for other teams in top 6 too.

I think he's(Nketiah) already switched sha. I don't even know if he was called up for this their upcoming friendly sef.

But yeah, I'm happy most of our players aren't in strong countries or see starting shirts.

I think amongst the top 6, we're the least in terms of core representatives

Nketiah was not called up. The only two new additions are Tariq Lamptey and inaki William.

I'm not worried about the game...I'm more worried about Ode in that game. I'm quite confident against Spurs with our full squad.

So this Brentford have 15goals
Arsenal 14. Chai. Ivan Toney effect. Will he breach Gabi-Sa?

This 6-2 was to prepare for their game against us. It's enough to get Rodgers the sack anyway. I hope we avoid a repeat of last season.
