Mr Obi has started his lieing campaign again.

In a top post on nairaland, Obi said

In July Nigeria did not supply 717,000 barrels per day out of its 1.8 million bpd quota.

He stated that this amounted to lost revenue of $22,227,000 daily at the rate of $110 per barrel which in a month totaled over $2.4Billion.

https://www.nairaland.com/7339252/peter-obi-exposes-crude-oil

A simple google research will give the accurate figure.

Nigeria sells 3 type of crude oil

They are bonny light , que ibo and brass river

Each of them are sold in the international market for different prices.

Bonny light is $93.40 per barrel
Que ibo and brass river is $96.38

In july, nigeria supplied 1.31 million out of its 1.8 m quota.

If you do the math, Nigeria was not able to meet the quota by 490k

According to the cable, in march, Timipre Sylva, minister of state for petroleum resources, had said poor investment and the exit of oil majors were affecting Nigeria’s ability to meet the oil production quota.

https://www.thecable.ng/nigerias-oil-production-decreased-to-1-08m-b-d-in-july/amp

In terms of revenue, we don't know know the actual figure because of nnpc didn't give update

But the reality of the matter is that fuel subsidy claim is more than the oil revenue we receive

according to the cable,

Within the period, NNPC recorded N2.39 trillion as gross revenue from oil and gas sales receipts and N2.6 trillion as subsidy claims. It, however, deducted N1.59 trillion to cover part of the subsidy costs.

I was expecting you to debunk that government officials are among those stealing our oil. That should be the crux of the matter.

Whenever we tell people that agbadorians are senseless they shiver in doubt but just look at it here

See the op querying the price of barrels instead of pinpointing who exactly is stealing the largess from our crude sales. It’s like them use this ‘fact check’ of a thing swear for these people from the land of the fallen Cassavanis grin

It is good that you are sweating up and down to verify accurate numbers.

This is a good development for our country.

Many of you people believed the APC tales when they claimed that the price of oil was over $100p/b for 16 years.

This is one of the worst maladies ever to befall this country.Stealing right from the source. We never believed crude oil will ever return to over $100 per barrel yet here we are and Nigeria is not benefitting anything from it!! Gosh.

But aren’t you not the same person who wrote up above that ‘the price of crude changes every day? ‘

So because it was $110 yesterday and it’s $115 today and it can become $95 tomorrow makes someone like Peter Obi a liar for quoting the average price of the commodity?

Your own link for July says 1.08M barrel of crude oil was supplied. We therefore had a short fall of 720,000 barrel from 1.8M daily allocation. July crude oil price per barrel was over $110 on the average. Going by this data, I think Peter Obi was right with his estimation for July.
