Tinubu never depended on Southern sentiment, he believes he's got the SW in the bag already and clearly has a disdain for the SE and SS (especially the SE). I personally advised here that there should be a handshake across the Niger from Tinubu to the SE/SS but trust his rabid urchins to do what they know how to do best IE tribal bigotry slurs and insults. Of course, the entire SE APC delegates gave him their votes but those ones are just paperweights who can't chase a fly. If Tinubu had even bothered pretending like a statesman that he should be, he wouldn't have been in this sorry situation. I predicted this scenario two years ago up to his choosing a Muslim vice from the north (panic mode due to all indications PDP going with a powerful Atiku) and the rest is history. He just has to depend on massive rigging now because I know there's nothing tangible he wants to tell the Niger Delta or South East during campaigns since it's obvious he hates these regions neither is there any tangible thing he'll tell the North to forget their brother who is easily accepted everywhere. A win for the North while most sensible southerners just want a president who can stabilise the country. Atiku fits that bill, Obi is also solid, Tinubu na bad market cool

Well thought out analysis, but tinubu is not an underdog rather obi is and it will be a miracle if he wins. Nevertheless, That should not deter you from voting your conscience.

Tinubu will drag third position with kwankwaso? Meaning peter obi will come first second by Atiku .my question is that who will vote peter obi in southwest, northwest, northeast north central even in south south.
2023 would been an eye opener to you, the south south is gridlock already for obi , all obi just need is 30% from the rest

How many Governors did Jonathan have prior to the lesson? Alot of them decamp!

No they didn't!
It is not about decamping.
Tinubu can have all the governors in the states, he can get all the north to vote him overwhelmingly. But I can guarantee you. He won't win the elections. Know this and have peace.

ScamHunter:
It is now obvious to all and sundry that Tinubu has moved from being the overlord in 2015 to an underdog in 2022, just a year to the election. It's even possible that it'll not just rain but pour on Tinubu. Everything that could get wrong is getting wrong to the point that it'll be an upset for Mr Tinubu to come second in the election. In fact, he may likely drag number 3 with Kwakwanso. How did it get so bad for the Lagos landlord?

I think he hadn't reckoned with the emergence of Obi, but rather anticipated a contest between the north and the south. Tinubu was depending on Southern sentiment to arm twist the north with cries of it's the turn of the south. Unfortunately for him, Obi happened and Nigerians just love him.

It's obvious that Tinubu has invested heavily in northerners to buy their loyalty prior to this time. The man and his mafia had hoped that PDP would field a Southerner from SE/SS. They would have used tribalism, religion and ethnic hatred to arm twist the north to support Tinubu who would have been sold as 'a friend of the north' but unfortunately for Tinubu, Atiku happened and became his nemesis in the North. The north no longer need a friend but "one of their own".

And it gets worse...

With Atiku in the picture, Tinubu panicked ... Atiku is a Muslim and Tinubu has no hope of mass votes in the south. The SE and SS are no go areas for him. Now the north that he banked on for years is slipping off his fingers. What was he to do? Tinubu goofed and went to a Muslim running mate to counter Atiku.
He effectively became the only candidate with an opponent in the north stopping his progress and an opponent in the south stopping his progress. That is the story of Tinubu. From overlord to an underdog.
O boy! You couldn't make it up even if you wanted to.
72 kpekus and one bottle of Egovin for you.
