She was almost cut from anime. CD Projekt Red wanted her removed because they thought she was a 'loli' character. Studio Trigger basically told them that Rebecca stays or they walk.

I mean—we're already Shonen Jump moving away from fanservice. All the titles with content that the western puritans won't approve of are being moved to the Jump+ app, including Chainsaw Man.

The top Shonen Jump manga, Jujutsu Kaisen is as westernized as they come. The male character designs are fujo-bait, which is cool and all, but there's definitely no eye-candy for the primary shonen audience—on the biggest shonen magazine, mind you.

They are definitely boiling the frog slowly.

I'm not trying to be a fearmonger but I've seen these people infiltrate and destroy too many subcultures and fandoms. Maybe I'm just a little bit paranoid.

Nah! It's plausible. Money talks, büllshit works after all. And they've got the money to exert a bit of influence. Streaming platforms like Crunchyroll and HiDive have changed the landscape and are basically growing as revenue options for anime companies. If the revenue keeps growing, we might just see the creators leaning more in that direction.

I thought some people said Kaido was overhyped...
Yet Luffy has lost to Kaido like 5 times now...every time he's getting saved...
it's criminal the kind of plot armor that's saving Luffy


Also, I have a feeling we're seeing Gear 5 in the anime soon... which means Kaido will soon fall

It feels like Luffy and Kaido have been fighting in the anime since like April this year, yet Luffy no fit win
