Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's administration in Enugu State has delivered a state-of-the-art 600-seater banquet hall within the premises of the Remodelled Old Government Lodge, GRA, Enugu, for hosting of sensitive and reserved state, regional, national and international events, in advancement of Enugu's status and leading role as the historic capital of the Southeast geo-political zone of Nigeria. The banquet hall, which is one of the signature projects Gov. Ugwuanyi’s administration will be remembered for after his tenure, has basement offices, meeting rooms, retaining walls, large parking lots, among other facilities. Besides the banquet hall and the Remodelled Old Government Lodge, Enugu, with a newly constructed annex, his administration, within the premises, also constructed 10 units of executive guest houses, 24 units of guest flats with a dining hall, security post and a standard lawn tennis court fitted with lighting facilities for physical exercise, among others, for routine guests of the state government. The whole essence is to save cost of governance in respect of security and hotel accommodation bills as well as to create a conducive atmosphere for decision making and other official engagements on sensitive issues concerning Enugu State, the Southeast zone and beyond. In furtherance of the above noble vision, Gov. Ugwuanyi’s administration equally constructed a similar befitting conference centre at Ede-Oballa, Nsukka, comprising multiple halls, other indoor activity hubs and recreation facilities such as adult and children swimming pools and a lawn tennis court. The project is adjacent to the new State Secretariat Annex, Nsukka, built by the present administration for cohesion and proper coordination of state government activities at the zonal level

dreamxhaser:Look at the Kenyan president with the idiotic smile plastered on his face. The British punished his country to no end during the mau mau days and he's there proud to be attending the British Monarch's funeral. The others too are proud to be in London to mourn with a nation that gives no Fvck about them. Buhari did the smart thing. |

The more reason to smile or you wanted him to shade crocodile tears. Let also admit that Britain post colonial period does a lot of good. They provide AID to many countries. We are also in friendly relationship with them. We cannot forever wear the bitterness of colonialsm. It over. Get over with it.obaaderemi: |

rvp20182:Nobody is saying you should not asslick the British. I remember they own half of the best land in Kenya, but why make a show of it. I am for Africa to forget its colonial past and move on in terms of development and progress. Not to worship the British. He is not the only one there. Why does he consider it such an absolute privilege to be bussed around London only for him to get back home and start bossing ordinary people around? ![]() Something is definitely wrong with African leaders. |

We have to deal with remaining issues like land and such - but we are also friendly to British - are part of commonwealth - and queen has been there forever - and definitely for Ruto - he is in cloud 9 - he is not a week into presidency - and is rubbing shoulders with all the big boys. So let our man enjoy it. This is honeymoon for him. obaaderemi: |

Why is Ramaphosa unable to fix Eskom. Time to bite the bullet. The big problem is on big consumers - that 1600MW is nothing for them. I believe about 20 of big consumers - consume about half of electricity. And they are big manufacturers, mining companies, water, etc. They will mess the economy - as manufacturing and minning will have to stutter. AfriqueDuZuid: |

AfriqueDuZuid:Why were Japan and us exempted? Don't you know the British are the Masters of sarcasm? 'A little joke at your expense' is how they usually call it. They'll be making fun of you to your face and you'll be smiling along with them like the Kenyan president without knowing you are the butt of their joke. They did this bussing thing on purpose. |
