You're using Note 11? Did you get the android 12 update via OTA or you installed manually?
I installed it using a software on my laptop

1) I can respond to any message from any app right from the notification panel, without having to open the app itself. Can you do this on iOS?

2)I can enable focus mode, that allows me to "shut up" all the distracting apps on my phone, this prevents me from being able to open the app, and prevents the app from showing its notifications. Can you do this on iOS?

3)I can minimize an app on the screen. This mean I can be on another app while another app is minimised on the same screen, basically operating two apps at the same time. Can iOS do this?

4)I can enable dark mode and reading mode, which helps to protect my eyes from blue light at night and reduces the strain on my eyes at night, so I don't have any worries viewing my phone at night. Can iOS do this?

5)I can snooze any notification for a given time. As in if I don't want to see a particular notification from an app for some period of time, I can do it. Can iOS do this?

6)My android 12 phone can automatically scan a picture I send on WhatsApp and if a mobile number is in the picture shared, it will let me know if that number is on WhatsApp and if I want to message the number on whatsapp. Very amazing shocked Can iOS do this?

7)I can stream channels from cable TV(like DStv and co) right on my phone, using an app. Although it consumes a lot of data and needs a very steady internet connection to work smoothly. Can this be done on iOS?

coolI can activate SOS(Emergency) on my phone if I'm in trouble. I will just press the power button 5 times and a message and my live location will be sent to the phone number/s of trusted people that I have set.

9)I can do almost anything on my phone, all I need is the app created for such purpose. Can iOS allow installation of apps outside it's app store?

By the way I'm using a redmi note 11 on Android 12.

You can add more things you can do on your Android that you don't think it's possible on iOS.
1. iOS has been doing that since iOS 13 or 14.

2. iOS can do that naa. It’s called DND (do not disturb mode). It will even mute incoming calls.

3. iOS can’t do split screen. It’s a niche feature BTW, most android users don’t even use it.

4. Dark mode?? Are you in 2010 or something? iOS has dark mode naa.

5. iOS can do that. It’s called screen time.

6. iOS only got that new feature on the just released iOS 16.

7. There’s a dedicated dstv app on iOS naa. Haba!

8. Hold the power button and you will see the sos feature pop up. The current iphone 14 can now tap directly into the satellite in orbit for that.

The worst with Iphone is that if you use your Safari browser and got to a site like Tooxclusive and you try to dll a song from a popular artist, it would download but only be sandboxed to your safari browser, it would never appear on your /music folder. That is the main reason i hate that shit called Iphone.
If you can buy data for 5k or more a month then you can pay 900 for Apple Music or Spotify and stream and download high quality music as you wish.

Split screen

Google Maps on for navigation with YouTube playing.

That’s 2 apps running same time
So tell me how you can be watching the video and still be using the map? The truth is your attention will definitely be divided. Anytime you bring down your eyes to look at that video your attention moves away from the map and that’s a fact. It’s a cool gimmick but really not that necessary in most cases.

I can use IR blaster as remote on my phone to control my DStv and and TV which helps in the stress of looking for remotes.

Iphone and there latest phone can never do this.

I can hide anything on my phone and even use second space. Them no born iPhone papa well make e do ham

So Iphone to me is an overrated trash grin
You can hide certain files on the latest iOS 16. You can definitely lock your apps too if you want them to be exclusive. Atleast have a thorough knowledge of what you’re castigating.

YouTube is to listen to music, not necessarily watch the music videos.

Lol if so then why not just play your music from your music player and still use your map simultaneously? Lol you see why that split screen stuff is just a niche gimmick?

What I mean is if you can use 10gb of data which is up to 5k to download songs then you can use 900 naira to subscribe on Apple Music or Spotify.

that feature is one of the reason i am still holding up to my android, pretty useful. Lets say you want to use a calculator while summing up a data in a pdf. Imagine, how frustrating it will be closing that pdf to use the calculator and going back to retrieve the data and vice versa. Iphone users always say a feature is a gimmick till apple implement it, and viola they call it innovation or revolution grin

Lol I was using split screens as far back as 2013 on my Samsung galaxy s3. I used it for a couple of days and I stopped because it impacted my overall user experience. For example, opening a map app and having music on, will impact the amount of information I will be seeing on the map ( and this goes for other apps as well). How many Samsung users actively use the split screen feature? When you’re just a swipe away from accessing the next app. Split screens are better on tablets with bigger screens.

Galaxy s3 split screen was not as versatile as the nowadays mode of split screen. On galaxy s3 i am pretty sure you couldnt divide your screen perfectly into half. First the screen was just 4.8 inches. Second, there were no otions for floating windows, resize and all that. I dont make use of split screen all the time untill it is very necessary and found itto be productive especially for work.
Apple will make their own version of split screen very soon and slam one sweet marketing name on it and you users will be very happy for the innovation grin
