Please I want to know better. My landlord brought a caretaker last year who later informed me about a house increase from 150k to 250k with I later agreed with the caretaker to pay 200k and he agreed. I payed it and my house rent was to expire in this September 28, I payed the 200k only for my landlord to say she want the 250k. Is this right or not. Can I challenge this in court. Thank you family for your advice |

You had an agreement with the Caretaker to pay 200k rather than the initial 250k that was demanded. After paying 200k, The LANDLORD informed you that 50k is outstanding. ?? Was the agreement in writing Do you have any witness Was the agent authorized by the landlord to negotiate rent. You need a Yes to at least 2 of the above questions to make your point. Going to court will cost you much more than the disputed 50k and IF you happen to win, a notice to quit may speedily follow. Best course of action is to seek for a meeting with the agent and/or landlord to explain your predicament and politely request that the previously agreed 200k should be accepted as full and final payment of your annual rent. |
