If you can remember earlier, muslim women in France protested for the freedom to wear the hijab. And now muslim women in Iran are protesting for the freedom not to wear the hijab. Similarity? Both are protesting for the freedom against being told what to do.

I don’t think it has anything to do with religion. If you follow international news like me you’ll know that this is not the first time this type of protest has happened in Iran, you’ll know that this thing happens every few years, where people come out to protest because a woman is killed by the so called “morality police” for not wearing a hijab. This protest is kinda like their own Endsars because we know the reason this protest started was because that woman was killed in police custody. I can bet any amount that if that woman wasn’t killed this protest would have not started.

I think people just don’t like being told what to do, especially with their body. And coupled with the Police brutality, i don’t blame the Iranian women. In fact i even stand with them, because it is not right to force people to do what they don’t want to do and coupled with police brutality. it doesn’t make sense.

The only thing i don’t like about this is the fact that people are using this opportunity to be islamophobic. it’s so pathetic.

It's very similar to women in America fighting for the right to control their own womb.

Eyes are finally opening. We will soon tell you men that we are not your rib!

Another ignorant rant . Keep off my body. HAve you read the Iran Constitution . Their basic framework of the l;aw is sharia. Sharia demands women cover up. Its a patriachal society where women are almost nothing.
Go tell the Afghan women to drop their hijabs.
This was Afghanistan and Iranian women before sharia was implemented.
Keep screaming about my body my choice when its men who make the rules and even many women are OK with the interpretation.
