Russia that has the 11th largest economy in the world isn't in the top 15 European economic power house? Where do you get the nonsense you usually spill here, from?
Nigeria, one of the largest in Africa is also a poverty capital.
Economy size is one thing. The number of people depending on that economy is another strong factor that affects its strength.

There is GDP and there is Per Capita GDP.

Rus is like the Hausa language / people of Russia. They dominate the country and are seriously abusing it. That's why the rejection of Putin is higher in non Rus areas.

New pipeline to take Norwegian gas to Poland via Denmark

Adam Easton

Warsaw Correspondent

The Polish and Danish prime ministers are taking part in an opening ceremony for a new gas pipeline - named the Baltic Pipe - that will open a new link for Norwegian gas to Europe.

The ceremony is being held at the Goleniow gas compressor station in north-western Poland.

Poland has led the project to replace gas from its traditional main supplier Russia. Gazprom stopped supplying Poland in April.

Not only will Poland be able to import pipeline Norwegian gas via Denmark for the first time, countries to the south of Poland, including Slovakia and the Czech Republic, will also be able to be supplied.

Gas will start flowing in the pipeline on 1 October, and it is expected to reach its full capacity by the end of November.

Danish Energy Agency puts the energy sector on orange alert, the second highest level, amid the multiple Nord Stream gas leaks.

The authorities in Denmark can't rule out a deliberate act. Breaks in gas pipelines happen extremely rarely, says the director of the Danish Energy Agency.

Nordstream 1 with 2 leaks between the Danish island of Bornholm and Karlskrona in Sweden 7 km apart. One leak on Nordstream 2 southeast of Bornholm.

Nord Stream says the damage to its key pipelines to Germany are "unprecedented" in the clearest signal yet that natural gas flows won't resume this winter.

US Media, ABC News on February 7, 2022 on twitter:

"US President Joe Biden:
— "If Russia invades...then there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it."

Reporter:
— "But how will you do that, exactly, since... The project is in Germany's control?"

Biden:
— "I promise you, we will be able to do that." "

— On German social medias, some netizens, mainly supporters of the German Nationalist Party AfD and others of a libertarian orientation, accuse the US of being behind the Nordstream blasts and of actively sabotaging the (what's left) German-European energy industry.

According to them, the objective in doing so would be to make Europe commit economic suicide and continue being an "American protectorate" rather than being independent.
Can the war end if US goes silent? No.
What if Ukraine stops fighting? No.
What about NATO disengagement from support Ukraine? No is the answer, because the aggressor will keep manufacturing excuses to take territories.

Germany proposes ban on EU citizens accepting high-ranking positions in Russian state corporations.

Berlin has distributed the proposal to EU governments, calling on the EU to add it to its eighth sanctions package, reports Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper. If implemented, the move would mitigate Russia’s “political influence” in EU countries and prevent involvement by EU politicians, such as former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, in Russian state-owned businesses.
