The four provinces in Ukraine where a referendum was held in the last few days have said YES to annexation according to the Russian media.
That paves the road for putin to declare that in a few days in his speech!
Dramatic times are ahead of us!

Report: Russian forces deliberately launched Iranian made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones over Uman to attack Hasidic Jews who are currently celebrating Rosh Hashanah in the city.

According to the report, during the last few days, the armed forces of Ukraine shot down more than ten Shahed-136 drones in southern Ukraine. Some of these drones were launched from the territory of the occupied Crimean peninsula and were directed to Uman.

Bloomberg: Europe is ready for winter without Russian gas.

European countries may import almost 40% more liquefied gas in the coming winter year over year, according to Bloomberg.

"Those shipments are enough to cover a complete halt in Russian pipeline flows from Oct. 1."

Weldone. There was no war before Euromaidan coup in 2014. A legitimate government was overthrown. A region expressed it's displeasure. Instead of dialogue, they were massacred. Odessa massacre where pro russian civilians were burnt to death in a building comes to mind. They had no option but to take arms and Russia came to the rescue. Honestly, Putin's self restraint is huge. Even now there are so many options left to him he hasn't explored yet.

Can the war end if US goes silent? No.
What if Ukraine stops fighting? No.
What about NATO disengagement from support Ukraine? No is the answer, because the aggressor will keep manufacturing excuses to take territories.

I guess this is the kind of careless assessment that is bringing the world ever closer to the brink. There is no need to even wait. Russia is so weak now that NATO should just invade now and take out Putin so there will be peace. Never mind, the nuclear weapons don't even work anymore.

Ode!
Whobedatte:

That’s what I say! Look at the condition their military equipment is in-why would we think their nukes even work anymore, given the state of their assets. Clearly the looting of Russia by Putin & the oligarchs has really exposed their rag tag military equipment like rusted tanks , worn out tyres and old non maintenance Soviet trucks

You are clearly compromised so no need trying to convince you but for the sake of others who may be swayed by your malicious arguments.
Rus is a language and Russia don't have any authority over its speakers. Going to Ukraine to rescue Rus speakers smacks of diplomatic stupidity.

Two nuclear power plants in southern Germany must run beyond the end of the year, Economy Minister Habeck (Green Party) suddenly says.

Habeck justified the preliminary decision with the "significantly worse than expected" situation of French nuclear power.

The necessary legislative process is now being initiated.

By the way, given that the Nord Stream pipeline was partly owned by Russia, we can assume that the gas and oil pipelines of the United States and Britain located in international waters are no longer protected by anything, and interesting things can also happen to them.
