Ootu Ife was accept to be the starting point of presence as indicated by Yoruba oral legend. Movements out Ootu Ife to different pieces of the World happen thousands years before the happening to Oduduwa to Ootu Ife. Igodo was one of the grandson of the 13 indigenous networks of antiquated Ootu Ife, which was caution not to cross River during his initiation. The name Igodo was given to him as one of his restrictions during inception, however he was an each difficult individual. His few endeavor to cross the waterway fizzled. Because of his franticness to leave Ootu Ife to establish his own settlement, made him to counsel Ifa , he was approach to make penances for nine days for him to accomplish his fantasy and also was given a wood mortar ( igi odo) and asked to cross river with the igi odo where the iGi odo ( wood mortar) settled will be his new settlement

He play out the penance, and his last endeavor was to cross river with the wood mortar which he accomplished after several trial . After he succeeded, and had a settlement, with euphoria he yelled Igi odo MI Godo, Igi odo MI Tedoo (my Wood mortar has crossed River, my Wood mortar has settled down) and the new settlement was named Igiodomigodo ( my wood mortar has crossed the river ) corrupted to IGODOMIGODO KINGDOM

Igodo lead Igodomigo individuals for a long time without returning to Ootu Ife possibly returning to Ootu Ife is one of his restrictions. After the passing of Igodo, numerous Ogiso rule Igodomigo land, untill the time of quiet upset in Igodomigo land between Igodo descendants which prompts quiet annihilating and termination of Igodo administering heredity which allows the igodo family to seek help from OOTU ife which then had become Ife oodaye .

Igodomigodo kingdom reigned for over 300 years with 31 Ogisos, Ogiso Igodo was widely regarded as a very good leader; he was succeeded by his eldest son Ere

The igodomigodo people feared that their country would fall into chaos, so they asked the oba of Ife oodaye for help. The king sent his grandson Omo'N'Oba(son of Oba literally means prince) Oranmiyan to restore peace to the igodomigodo kingdom . After restoring peace Oranmiyan renamed igodomigodo kingdom to Ile- Ubinu later Benin

Oranmiyan ,or Oromiyan as articulated by the Edo individuals, is perceived as the first Oba of Benin an immediate heredity of Oduduwa, Oranmiyan become known as the first Oba of benin.

Oranmiyan chose his son Eweka to be the first Oba of Benin. Eweka was the first in a long line of Obas, who reached the peak of their power in the 1500s

Oba Eweka was long seen as hard of hearing and unable to speak his father oranmiyan gave him enchanted seeds known as "Omo ayo" to play with, saying that playing with it will make him talk. The little Eweka played with the seeds with his friends at Egor, his mom's old neighborhood. While playing with the seeds, he articulated the Yoruba words "owo mi ka" signifying "I caught it", declared "Owomika" as his regal name

Oba Eweka was known as Omo'N'Oba Owomika Ogidigan . Ogidigan Means the Great

This is beautiful.
So how come the greats disparity in their language, as the centuries 1500s and 1900s isn't far for there to be a new pool of languages?

Benin became a big empire ruled by many Obas who are Eweka descendants also Eweka descendants ruled some of Yoruba towns till now e.g Tsekiri ( Ginuwa) and Èkó Island( Asipa) also other places like Obi of Onitcha , isseluku are all descendants of Oba Eweka i

The Current Oba of Benin Omo'N'Oba Ewúare ii is a descendants of Oranmiyan

We can conclude that Yoruba and Benin have so many entwined fates

Oranyan journey to Igodomigodo was in the 1200s that's why we have some similar words especially when it comes to royalty. Journey of IGODO was over 300 yrs before that of oranmiyan that's in the late 900s you can see that so many years go the Language have been diluted by other neighbors

Nonetheless there are also so many similarities between yoruba language and edo Language

For example i met a guy recently he is from Benin bearing the name AISIOKHUEBO , honestly if any yoruba man hears the name he won't think it's yoruba corrupted Benin name

i told him confidently that guy this is yoruba words and he should tell me the meaning of his name he said” u don't look for Ogun's trouble”

When i break the name down it mean same thin

Aisi-u don't open
Okhu- the REMAINs
Ẹbọ- sacrifice ( for Ogun)

In Yoruba it will be You don't open the remains of Ogun's sacrifice

Actually is the same but requires effort to translate

But initially the words there have been corrupted but if one think hard u will decode it. An Average Yoruba man will not know That Aisiokhuebo is A Yoruba corrupted Benin name

What did you smoke?
Who's feeding you these bullcraps?

Don't disrespect Ubini.

People that can't figure out their own origin trying to rewrite narratives.
Stick to your climbing down from heaven on a chain hogwash -and not ask for reminders.
