There has been alot of controversy concerning the permissibility of celebrating the birth of the noble Prophet Muhammed. Is celebrating his birthday Halaal or Harom? I present below scholarly positions especially Shaykh Dr. Saalih ibn Fawzaan al-Fawzaan on the issue. Praise be to Allaah the Lord of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions. |

Lukgaf:Mr Wahhabist aka Pseudo-sunnist, I don't even know Mr Fawzaan much more of waiting for him to legitimizing Mawlid! All the Islamic Countries officially celebrate Mawlid Nabiyi (SAW) except Saudi Arabia and Qatar!! Why can't you Japa to either Qatar or Saudi? Who knows, u may even end up specializing in suicide bombing since that's the ultimate aim of a Wahhabist! To burst your bubble, even Ibn Taimiyya said that a Mawalid observer will be rewarded!!! |

This is the kind of topic I find reprehensible. MAULID to most of Muslim scholars is permissible and recommended. Not the rare few you mention Celebrating the birth of the prophet simply means any permissible act you do in honoring or showing thanks to Allah or showing love of what Allah did by sending the prophet. Anyone who finds that reprehensible or innovation is a pervert It is moreover a Sunnah to celebrate it. The prophet celebrate it in many ways in authentic hadith. Like slaughtering ram in honoring that day, like fasting every monday. And did not forbid us to express as permissible as we can Over 90% real muslims and scholars agree it is permissible to celebrate in any way you wish once it is a permissible act I don't know when reciting Qur'an, reading his history, gearing his love, raising the banner of Islam becomes reprehensible just because we choose to do it on Rabiul Awwal We are no slaves to the wahabi doctrine or thinking process. We are Muslim as defined by the Quran and the prophet I advise you to go and have a rethink of how you define bidia. And other branding you invented to show your distate The prophet remains highest and honored. And no propaganda will remove him from our lives. Salamun Alaikum la nabtaghil jahilin |

Under Islamic Calendar, the greatest man ever created by God was born in this Month. In this Month we celebrate the Birthday Anniversary of the Seal of All Prophets and Messengers of God (sa). Muhammad al-Mustapha (sa), the Apple of our Eyes was born ❤️❤️❤️ It is important to note that All Muslims celebrate the Birthday Anniversary of the Best of Creation (sa) with the exception of murderous Wahhabi savages (Saudi regime, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, BokoHaram, AlShabab etc) Labayka Ya Rasulallah! #ElbinawiTweets |

There are lots of good innovations that beautify the religion ,just like there are some Solawat which was written to send prayers to our beloved prophet Seyidd -el-mustapha.......... There are some beautification in Islam that if you do you may gather some reward and if you don't do it , you don't have problem ...e.g using microphones and speakers in the mosque, reciting Al Quran from phones and e.t.c The prophet performs some prayers on his birthdays by observing sawmu fasting on Mondays to thank Allah, also, prophet yahya and Prophet Issa Alehi salam make special dua on their birthdays to emphasize how significant that day should be!..........."Salamun alayya yawmu wulidtu wayyamu amuutu was yamo Ubu'azu ayyan.... (Surat Mariam vs 33)" The prophet also says his love in our heart should supercede any other person's love in our hearts even our parents S.A.W......... Celebrating our belove Prophet Adewale Muhammad out of love, Muhammad S.A.W that Allah pardoned his present and future sins, our prophet that will intercede for all muslim nations on yawmmu deen, shouldn't be condemned as far it's done not beyond boundaries ......Allah A'alam |

The truth of the matter is, we do not need any self centred scholar to come here and pass a judgement on that which he did not have full knowledge of. Ask the Sheikh that gave the Fatwa on the illegality of Mawlid, he would tell you that he's of the Sunni School of thought. Ok! ask him as well who is one of his greatest Scholar that ever brazed this earth, he would tell you Sheikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyya (May Allah be pleased with him). Ok! Ask them what did Sheikhul Islam said about celebrating Mawlid, the would tell you he legalised it (I.e those that would wanna tell the truth amongst them); but others that chose to be economical with the truth would certainly deny that. Here, the question would be... Whose Fatwa do we listen to? Theirs is the great Sheikhul Islams? In conclusion, people should not come here and deny that they have little or no knowledge of. Mawlid is worthy of celebration and celebrating it in the right and best of manners does not come with any shortcoming and it as well attracts great reward from Allah (S.W.A). So, people should not get fooled by celebrating their fellow ordinary men and women who in return gives Envelopes but castigate Khatimul Ambiyas. May Allah guide us on the right path to understand that Mawlidin Nabiyy is not only worthy of celebration yearly but every blessed minute of one existence. After all, it not you human that Start Celebrating Rasul (S.A.W) but Allah Himself. |

Makapounse:How does not celebrating mawlid Nabiyy translate to hating the Prophet(S.a.w)? Have you ever stopped to consider how celebrating this bid'ah would be presented on yawmul qiyaamah? Would Allah punish you for not celebrating it? Absolutely not! PS: no one knows for certain what month the Nabiyy(saw) was born, only his death was recorded to have occured on Rabbi'ul awwal. Are you people then celebrating his death? |

CELEBTATING THE BIRTH OF THE PROPHET (saw) AND THAT OF ANY OTHER PERSON FOR THAT MATTER IS AN IMITATION OF FOREIGN AND CORRUPT CULTURES. AND LET'S REMEMBER, COPYING CORRUPT CULTURES WILL ONLY CORRUPT YOUR CULTURE. |

[quote author=k4kenny post= How can the date in which the best of mankind was born is unknown to the people? are you kidding people? We all knew the date on which the best of mankind was born and several scholars and historians have prove it right, if you don't know the date, simply ask those who do to let you know, if you're saying this for argument purpose then you should please prove the otherwise first not just to argue blindly.. Your hatred for the prophet will never let you have peace in your deen. Please allow people to be happy for the birthday of their prophet and you may choose to do the otherwise since you don't want to be happy]How does not celebrating mawlid Nabiyy translate to hating the Prophet(S.a.w)?

Do you have his birth certificate to prove it then? Maybe you don't know that Arabs in the time of the Rasulullah was born didn't keep date records, no such things as calenders at the time. No one knows for certain when exactly he was born. ALll we knw was that he was born in the year of the Elephant. The so-called scholars you're referring to were not there when he was born, how can we then ascertain that he was birn in Rabbiul awwal. All na speculation. As at the time of his death, they had started to develop as a nation and there were ptoper date records. That's why no one can dispute his date of death. You call yourself a good Muslim, but go around accusing others of hating Habeebullah. You should go and read the Qur'an about false accusations. Be prepared to defend your claims before Allah on yawmul qiyaamah. |

Lukgaf:Alhamdulillah May Allah increase us in knowledge and understanding...ameen Concerning this argument, We all know the first 4 caliphs (Abubakr, Umar, Usman and Ali roheemonhullah) none of them ever celebrate the birthday of rosulalah (S.A.W) EXCEPT they fast on Monday or Thursday and to those that are saying sheik At-trimidhi support it too where did you see the fact that back it up that he did Maolud Nabbiy during his lifetime.. Remember the hadith that says; Who ever invent new thing in Islam will not be accepted from him.. And to those that said we celebrate him because Christian do the same during Christmas Remember the Hadith that says, Who ever copy the people of the book is not among my followers.. The Religion is complete, hence don't introduce nonsense in it. Thanks for view May Allah bless us |
