Edo did not conquer Lagos or any part of Yoruba land ! As a matter of fact,it would have been other way round if not for Oranmiyan's factor/connection. Please,in which war did "Edo conquer the state" if you care to tell us ? The only connection between the Binis and the Yorubas is the royal stool in Benin city. That stool is of Yoruba heritage and that is a fact. All the Obas of Benin,starting from the time of Oranmiyan,are of Yoruba descent. If anybody tells you otherwise or you yourself believe otherwise,you're only deceiving yourself ! A trip to Ile ife will clear whatever doubting Thomas that lives in you !
