Great we won and I think with this we can convince few more that Arsenal is damm serious about making Top-4 this season, God helping us. We extensively discussed here few days ago what should be our best approach to this game. Looked like Arteta saw through us...To beat Spuds, we need to press higher and stop them from playing their games without a slip, because their top 3 can score with half a chance. Not every team can do that, but Arsenal has enough quality players to achieve that. And we did exactly that and we won. Great game from Partey, just that we have to manage him carefully now. It's good to also groom Awilo. As we can see, with Partey off a more disciplined left back came on in Tierney. Partey's availability is why I preferred Zinchenko over Tierney. Good management there from Arteta, just that I expected Vieira to have come on much earlier for Odegaard. Good one, good win... We move to the next one, no time to check time. |

The match was somehow to me. I was expecting us to score more immediately after the red card unfortunately some selfishness in he box cost us. Ramsdale was impressive today though I kinda miss the old Ramsdale wey dey bring crazy vibe come field 8/10White was white today. Very tidy and hard to pass by. He might have been angered by Saka's selfishness today. 7/10 Saliba , to say he was superb today will be an understatement. A middle finger for that ref for penalising him. Shey the guy no chop come field ni . 8/10Gabriel conceded a needless penalty but the most of the fault still go to Xhaka and Saka. Nice turnover for that 3rd goal. 7/10 Zinchenko didn't perform as I expected today. He won some headers against Richarlison today though which is kinda impressive. I love the way he celebrated that Xhaka goal. His passion is something worth commending. 6/10 Partey ehn....no much talk. His goal will be giving Lloris nightmare for some days 9/10 Xhaka was impressive too. His only negative was that penalty we conceeded. An outright clearance was the better idea instead of losing the ball to Richarlison. Before he took that shot, I knew Lloris stood no chance. This is not the Xhaka we know... imagine this guy petting Richarlison when the latter wanna fight..that doesn't sound Xhaka to me. 8/10Saka was surprisingly selfish today but what a thunderous shot for that 2nd goal. He might be playing to instruction but his decision making sometimes are questionable. 7/10 Martinelli has changed from that lightweight guy last two seasons to a brutish, bullish, confident and technical player. His decision making today was kinda off. Somebody should help us count the number of dribbles he completed. 8/10 Jesus is a proper 9 we have been longing for. His goal was a result of persistence which is commendable. And that dribble in the first half, oh my...so sumptuous . He should have won a penalty in the second half when he was tripped. A middle finger to the ref on that one too 9/10Nketiah is a perfect like for like replacement for Jesus IMO. The way he carried that defender trabaye toward the ending of the match is a proof. 5/10 Sambi is a perfect Wenger type of player. He came in and kept everything tidy. I still think we're being unfair to this guy. Partey's form is not giving him a breathing space too. 5/10 Vieira didn't influence the match the way I expected but he kept everything tidy too. 5/10 Tomiyasu didn't play enough to fully rate him. |

iamoyindamola:Very true. We have definitely learnt from that man United game. You could see how they kept possession and used the back 2 whenever they were in tight situations. That high line was very hard for Spurs to handle because we had players who could hold the ball. |

Leno swallowing goals like something else. 4 goals now. I said it, he has a bigger chance of a WC spot backing up Rammy than going to Fulham. |

mostob:He was saying that during post match na. Maybe he's joking. Besides, Xhaka is the actual captain of this team. Arteta sef. Once he loves a player, he's blinded. He loves White-so he must play. He loves Odegaard as Captain- thus Armband. The question of leader was seen today when the ref called Odegaard to talk to his guy after a foul. Ode just tap his chest infront of ref and bounced off. Twas hilarious sha. Captain go talk to hin guy proper. Like Terry to Lamps or Mikel that year. Even down to talks, like See Jesus after one goal. That is captain duty. Ode just dey look too ![]() Woh. We just fit overlook am sha. |
