Myself and my wife(both Yorubas) lived and worked in Onitsha between 2015 and 2018. While there are occasional tribal slurs thrown at us, it was insignificant. Off my head, I can only remember it happening twice in three years.

I had no issues renting an apartment, I had a very cordial relationship with my neighbours, my wife had a good relationship with her Co workers who of course are mostly Ibos.

The nature of my work at the time also involved a lot of travel to nearby states and cities like Owerri, Enugu, Ebonyi e.t.c I remember travelling to Owerri 17 times in one month. The only state I really didnt go then was Abia state. So it's safe to say my experience was not just limited to Onitsha.

I cannot in all honesty say the East is the most tribalistic place in Nigeria except this is a recent development with the IPOB/ESN thing.

No, that's not where I'm referring to. If u are coming from Anthony, after the lastma headquarters u will climb the bridge as if u are going towards mile 2, once u get to the end of the bridge u will turn to Ur right to descend the bridge ( There's a bad portion of the road after u descend the bridge as if u are going to Cappa), it's at the point of descending the bridge u will see where they park broken down BRT buses..... There's a park there where those guys sit and smoke hemp. I believe that's where the guy was describing
That's the last bus stop for buses coming from Ajah and Berger. There is usually traffic there, and it is always busy

So, he was dragged from the pedestrian bridge at the other side, and brought here with nobody seeing him, only a military guy?

Hope you know when you take that bend to go to Cappa, there's an RRS unit there?

I can draw inferences from what happened in Lagos, that the reason why something like that hasn't happened in say Anambra, is because nobody is stupid enough to try what flagboi did there.

Is it that much of a stretch to believe that a lone APC flag bearing nigga would be mobbed in IPOB/ESN territory where people are being forced to sit at home right now by an imposed protest against One Nigeria?

If soldiers who represent Nigeria are getting wasted every week by UGM in the east, it doesn't seem that farfetched to me to expect the flagboi treatment (or much worse) to be administered summarily and swiftly to any fool dumb enough to chase that kind of clout...
There was a picture were a girl in APC outfit took picture at Nmadi Kanu's gate d other day

As busy as Ikorodu BRT terminal is, you'll not see Area boys there.

Even in TBS, in Lagos Island, you'll not see One singke tout there.

But in Oshodi, they have a place to even pour fuel and light up someone?

Maybe I am wrong sha

Boko Haram insurgency!
They've long since captured some regions in the north and established Islamic caliphates where they either force conversions or murder people seamlessly. Hence the "killing people for fun" mantra.

It’s fact.

Lagos population is bigger than Portugal as a country.

Igbos will never accommodate and allow other tribes invest heavily if they had owned Lagos.

Them no even born any Yoruba or Hausa man well to come to Anambra and be claiming “No man land” just like Igbos do in Lagos. grin

Hausas will, but your investment will be at risk as crisis and riot might happen anytime.

When I say Lagos is the most accommodating state in Nigeria, no argue am.
People will naturally aggregate towards places that have a resource, political, economic, or geographical advantages. With this logic, we can then say the natives of Instanbul are the most accommodating people in Turkey, the natives of Accra are the most accommodating Ghanaians or even the natives of Benin City are the most accommodating Edos. Your argument of using population as a yardstick of people being accommodating falls flat on its face. There are Igbos with loads of investments in Benin City and they go about their business without harassment. They own lands in Benin City and have family homes accommodating third generations.

As regards Lagos being called a No Man's land, it's cause it's actually fact. Bola Tinubu is not originally a Lagosian, Senator Yayi, a senator representing Lagos West is from Ogun State originally, Aregbesola, another foremost Lagos politician is from Osun State, and the list continues. Lagos is a "No Man's Land" and it shares this enviable position with other major states/cities of the world where the things that unite the citizens of those states have grown beyond ethnicity. Who cares who's an ethnic New Yorker when there are more serious issues bordering on the economy, education, and social standing of the city to concern themselves with?

You can't have your cake and eat it. You guys should allow Lagos be and breathe, and by "you guy's" I mean you Yoruba's that are actually non-ethnic Lagosians but want to be more Lagosian than indigenous Lagosians.

I didn't say they took him to Cappa, I only used that place to explain where I thought the issue happened going by his description in Ur initial post I quoted.

He said he was on pedestrian bridge and was beckoned at to come and he ran. He didn't state what direction he ran, but he mentioned being dragged into a BRT terminal. You posited that there's no BRT terminal where area boys are operating from in that axis and all I did was try to point u to a part of the terminal I do see those urchins sit and smoke( based on my observation when I pass that route)

Even on the oshodi oke bridge sef, RRS usually park their patrol vans there yet those boys show people shege in traffic.

I am just saying, for you to drag someone from the pedestrian bridge on that side, to the terminal you're talking off, you have to use JUJU for no one to notice.

You of all people should know the inherent danger associated with such actions. Even if nothing happened to the girl, I'm sure that you are intimately familiar with what could easily happen in that scenario...

I didn't read where he said "no one noticed", I guess people just minded their business except for the military guy who intervened and prevented them being stabbed.

We all know how Lagosians would mind their business in such cases ; in fact policemen being paid to prevent breakdown of law and order watched while law and order broke to several pieces last week in Iyana Iba. Even when those guys fought in front of force headquarters in Obalende, the policemen just sit for their office dey Enjoy the show.

Notice or intervene?

Bruh the reason why nobody has challenged the story is because its Oshodi.

Even if the guy had added some ajasa and inserted machine gun wielding thugs, before an impossible rescue by the Dr strange and the avengers, it would still be plausible.

Fam it's Oshodi.

Bros, I don't know when you relocated, but Oshodi is not the Oshodi of then.

I once said I worked in a bank sometime. That bank was at Illupeju. So I move around Oshodi by 8pm.

It's difficult to pull that stunt in broad day light, without encountering security agents.

Under that bridge has been cleared...There are no parks there, and no habitation for touts.

Lagos na No Man Land because Yorubas from other Yoruba states are in leadership positions.

It's very possible in Oshodi especially when it come to politics.

Hopefully police fish those who attacked him.
