Make una try and be calming down sometimes.

The second link clearly said the whole project which include link roads will be fully completed by 2024 while the bridge will be completed and opened to traffic by December this year.

Completely uncalled for. Hope pressure will be mounted seriously on the police to catch and make an example of the culprits.

We don't want this election to degenerate into attacks on party supporters for their political choices whether physical or verbal.

BlueRayDick:
But I really do not understand the need for violence from any supporter of any candidate at all..... Why should anybody be bothered about what supporters of other candidates do to win votes for their own candidate legitimately?

Initially I thought the story was false, but now it's looking like it's true. Honestly that is the lowest of lows. If this is happening during campaign period, only God knows what will happen on election day in some areas sef.

The excuse for attacking ENDSARS protesters in some areas was that they were constituting nuisance and block flow of traffic, but what could be the excuse for attacking a guy who keeps walking and just carries a flag?

You should have read the link, especially the 2nd one.

There is a 3km path to climb the bridge from Asaba. It has not commenced

There is a 7km path after you exit the bridge at Onitsha. it has not commenced

All these would be completed by 2024

They only promised to open the bridge by December. They did not tell you the project is completed

Go and look at the post you quoted to tag me. The guy said Second Niger BRIDGE won't be ready until 2024 is that what the link said?

The link I showed you indicated commuters will be able to use the bridge and access other link roads.

“The bridge project is 95 per cent complete, and it is expected to be delivered by the end of December 2022, but there is a second phase, which is a 3.3-kilometre road approach on the Delta side and a 7-kilometre approach road on the Anambra side that is yet to commence.

“The second phase of the project has yet to commence, but the government has deemed it fit that upon completion of the first phase, it will be open to traffic”, he said.

He added that the bridge would be accessed from the interchange at Oba on the Onitsha-Owerri road, as a road was being constructed to connect traffic on the Asaba-Benin Expressway to it, pending the completion of the second phase.

Bros, I don't know when you relocated, but Oshodi is not the Oshodi of then.

I once said I worked in a bank sometime. That bank was at Illupeju. So I move around Oshodi by 8pm.

It's difficult to pull that stunt in broad day light, without encountering security agents.

Under that bridge has been cleared...There are no parks there, and no habitation for touts.

Like I said, I may be wrong, but there are many reasons while it's hard for me to believe
Are you joking?

Oshodi where hoodlums murdered a military man and left his body on that same pedestrian bridge in broad daylight only last year?

Several residents and commuters at Oshodi, Lagos, reportedly scampered for safety following an alleged face-off between military personnel and hoodlums on Thursday morning.

The incident happened at the Mosafejo area of Oshodi.

According to a report by Daily Trust, military personnel stormed Oshodi “to avenge the death of an officer of the Nigerian Air Force, who was allegedly mobbed to death by hoodlums.”

Many commercial vehicles were destroyed in the process, as bus drivers abandoned their vehicles and traders fled their shops.

Another source has it that the uniformed officer was found dead, an act suspected to be carried out by hoodlums, and soldiers were deployed to the area to take the corpse and clear the hideout of the criminal elements.

Oshodi where LG Chairman Aide was hacked to death openly at a birthday party in full glare of witnesses only a few weeks ago?
Police in Lagos are currently investigating the death of Hon. Francis Oguntulu, an aide to the Council Chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Lagos State, who was reportedly killed by some masked gunmen.

The deceased served as the Head of Anti-One Way Taskforce under the past administration of the Council and was the Deputy Chief of Staff before he was cut in his prime on Friday, August 19, 2022.

Vanguard gathered that the suspects also injured some guests in the process. He was supposedly hacked to death at Church Street in Oshodi when the suspects invaded a birthday party where the deceased was a guest.

That same Oshodi?

Bruh you should be thanking God for preserving your life on a daily basis. Dont play yourself into thinking Oshodi can ever change. That place is the belly of the beast.

You are saying what I am saying

The bridge itself is complete. The road to climb the bridge and come down is not done yet

So, I don't understand how you're forcing the government to say they have finished the project when they are clearly telling you it is not finished

That's not why I mentioned you sha. I just needed your input

Thank God you admit the bold even though the guy you quoted mischievously said the BRIDGE won't be completed until 2024.

I quoted excepts where the federal controller said the bridge will be ready by december for commuters to start using it accessing other link roads pending the completion of the second phase, you've shifted goal post now to 'finished project' lol.

Still using project to cover your weak argument. Bridge is complete. Commuters will use it accessing link roads pending completion of the main access roads but know you're bothered about 2024 when bridge is ready in 2022 grin

It's ok bro do you lol

“The second phase of the project has yet to commence, but the government has deemed it fit that upon completion of the first phase, it will be open to traffic.

“At the Onitsha end, there is an interchange at Oba, where you can access the bridge, and on the Asaba end, there is a link road we are constructing to enable travellers to access the bridge from the Benin-Onitsha road.”

That's because Lagos is a cosmopolitan state. Lagos is a Yoruba state that's why Yorubas from other state can conveniently take up leadership position there.

That Lagos is a cosmopolitan state doesn't change the fact that it is a YORUBA state.

Don't get it twisted.
