USA never claimed to be saviours alot of their actions are basically foreign policy which can come off bad and selfish sometimes but they still have their goodwill even more than that of Russia, there's a reason people still migrate more to USA than places like Russia, even Russian billionaires trust USA than their home country and keep their wealth there along their other allied countries, many countries are still embracing and lobbying USA as of today.

Sometimes I think Putin's restraint is a political trap to win his allies(China, India, probably Brazil and South Africa) and sow divisions within Europe, which is finally happening. While the real territorial gain in Ukraine has been too slow, Russia's increased influence on the global stage is not in doubt. Look what's happening in Mali and Burkina Faso. Seems Germany is also gradually becoming anti-American which will be a big win. In the end it will be a sweeter victory to isolate America politically. I still think it's wishful thinking and at some point his patience will be exhausted but at least both Russians and other would understand he has tried his best.

They are already protesting in places like Dagestan, apparently they are being used as cannon fodder for long time now, its just funny when Russia are painted as saints but everyone around them is running away from them and embracing USA/NATO

I have read a lot from Putin supporters...with every failed event they blame NATO/us, they'll blame everyone except themselves and Putin.

Putin's failed objectives so far......
-Rapid capture of Kyiv
-elimination of zelensky and its government
- victory march parade of WW2 in Ukraine
- 2weeks, predicted time to finish off Ukraine.
-prevent other countries from joining NATO/EU

So far, Good will always prevail over evil. I have to give it to the Ukrainian, they suffered, died, united in this war with Russia, all the bombs, hypersonic missles, suicide drones etc. could not hold them down, this means they are ready to fight till the lastman to save their country But Putin's ego won't make him surrender or withdraw his troops.

Russia is similar to Nigeria in many ways. Let me list some.
1. Natural resource dependence. Like us they use their natural resourse to sustain their economy to a greater extent than their European peers.
2. Low per capita GDP but huge budget. They have a huge budget and economy like us, but when you consider the population factor, per capita GDP is lower compared to other European nations. This has given them a false sense of superpower and super wealthiness. In summary, they are like many small nations running a single country system.
3. Tribal dominance. Like the Hausa/Fulani dominance of Nigeria, they have the Rus who dominate juicy positions and a strong Jewish minority for technical support. Imagine Buhari adjusting the constitution to allow him run indefinitely and then conscripting Yorubas, Igbos and other non Fulani groups to invade Cameroon with the aim of taking lands where Fulani herders gave been causing trouble systematically for long in neighboring countries.
4. Resentment of dominant tribes across borderlines. Like Fulani have a reputation of oppression and expansion, the Rus too are doing similarly across eastern Europe.
5. Oligarchy. Just look at their oligarchs and look at the top 10 richest mennin Nigeria.

Please stop brandishing America's prosperity as a proof of their goodness. Its just like my rich uncle who pays my school fees but made his money as a drug dealer who kills people. His magnanimity to me does not change the fact that he is a cold hearted criminal. He may be nice to me but his true nature is what he does to others. That means one day if I tell the truth to his face he will be as mean to me.

Yes remember like Nigeria some ethnic minorities in Russia tried breaking away but were coerced back, my problem is just failure of Nigeria to maximize its resources like Russia did, we could easily be a strategic regional or continent power, we have very small and poor nations around us we could have controlled and influenced if we wished.

Isn't about magnanimity, I never mentioned that, there's many more reasons countries tilt to USA, despite their flaws people still find them easier and better to deal with.
