Lokoja is like that year in year out. Governor does not care. The only thing they care about is their political business.

Looks like the River Niger overflowed its banks because even Noah's flood cannot do that.

The governor can’t do anything about it because water must move during raining season. Water was released from dams outside Nigeria and it has to pass through lokoja on its way to the ocean. It’s an annual ritual and everyone is used to it.

Nothing new about what happened in Lokoja. It's flood. If you want everyone to talk about it, don't call it FLOOD, call it HURRICANE YAHAYA or TYPHOON DINO.

So the governor is helpless about a flood that is right in the middle of the state capital. And because he is an apc governor he is blameless

The only way to stop the annual flooding of Lokoja is to stop the dam from releasing water during the raining season. It doesn’t matters which party the governor belongs to, water must find its way once it is released from the dam.

Are you also aware that Anambra state is currently flooded and over 60k people are now displaced in the state with a death recorded already? Should we blame Peter Obi and the current APGA governor?

Is Peter obi the governor of the state??we can as well balme tinubu for d flood in lekki.. Everything to score cheap political point.. The blame should be on the governor squarely cos if the flood is an annual ritual as u said, the adequate plan should have been on ground to minimize the effect on the people and space should have given for the extent of the flooding with calculation done on where houses and structures should not be.. Instead of us to be patriotic and think forward all we do is find ways to defend political leaders that truly doesn't care about anybody.. Make una dey try small small

You are comparing a state capital where the only safe access road into the capital is flooded and the only alternative which is okene leaves road users at the mercies of all kinds of bad roads, robbers and kidnappers.
Its obvious people like u have sold ur conscience

First of all have u been on ground to see the flooded area? No gutters no channels. I have been there for assessment but some information are rather kept confidential

Hurricane is an annual ritual in America and they don’t blame the governors of the affected states. They simply tell people to move away from the path of the hurricane and then rebuild all that were destroyed thereafter.

Nobody is here to defend anybody. Some of us are just realistic enough to know that nobody can do anything about some natural occurrences. It is not everything you blame government for.

I was there on Saturday and I saw the situs union of things myself. The flooding is beyond what gutters and drainages can stop. The water you’re seeing is not even from Nigeria. Water was released from dams outside Nigeria and it has to pass through River Niger into the ocean. That’s why all the states that Rivee Niger passes through are currently flooded. The problem is not peculiar to Lokoja.

I understand you guys don’t read news from your side of the country as you’re always concerned about other states outside your region. Below is the link.

Very good I just wanted you to mention the location of the flood. Now go to the map of Anambra and find out how critical that location is to the entire state. Now compare that to the major access to kogi state capital

U were there as a passerby, and I don't even think u saw the landscape because of the flood. Now assessment of that place was done during the dry seasons few years ago. A serious government knows what to do. It is not here that you will hear from me how breeze blow and fowl nyash opened

The fact is there is nothing anyone can do to control the flood except the government forcefully move peope from lowland areas of lokoja to minimise loses in future floods.

We should block the pathways so that when those countries release the water from their dam, it should flood their countries, instead of another country.

How I wish some natural disaster happens to wherever you hole up so I can watch you writhe in pain on this forum. So cold, remorseless and pitiless. Always having one baseless and stupid excuse to bandy on behalf of the political leadership. I am still dreaming about the day I will meet you in person. Issues would be settled. That is assured.

Can you just listen yourself? Comparing the hurricane in the US with flooding that can be averted? Guy, you need to be dropped in the middle of the Amazon jungle and forgotten there. The guy was right about you after all (not that I don't know already who you are). So releasing water from dams in other countries is natural disaster? So that kind of occurrence measures on the same pedestal as hurricanes? SMH
