Good day everyone. Please I need you guys to advise me on what to do. Last year I shared with you guys the problem I had with some thugs that works for Ghana police. I was repatriated back to Nigeria because I wrote a petition to the IGP. Every effort to get back my properties didn't work. I went to the head office of Nigeria people in diaspora in Abuja but got no help from them . I also went to the head office of foreign affairs, they too couldn't help get back my properties. Lastly I went to brekete family and I was asked to get he paper from high court. I've submitted the original copy to them since march up till now they've not called me. I also contacted @AlexReports to help me publish my story so that the relevant authorities can hear me, he was asking me for an amount I can't afford now. Things are getting worse as I can take care of my kids because I've been out of job for over a year now. So am asking, should I go back to Ghana or stay back here in Nigeria. Is it safe to go back or should I stay back in Nigeria?? Please I need your advice! GodSpeed! |

Ghana police has a special office for sanctioning unruly police officers called PIPPS. Contact them. The new Ghana igp is no nonsense, friendly, professional, down to earth. Find a way to contact him Contact some of the proper media houses in Ghana, like joy FM/tv, citi FM/TV etc. They're reputable, fear no one and would speak for you |

mdntiri:I contacted PPSB at tafo kumasi, they signal the police station. I think they work with the local police. At first they promised to help me. They invited the Inspetor, he came and wrote statement involving the station crime officer, they also invited the crime officer in north santraso station kumasi , one Mr Emmanuel , later he said he was taking orders from the station commander ( Mr Yeboa ). Mr yeboa didn't show up, they only spoke on phone . They ( PPSB ) sent me back to the station to meet with the station commander hoping he would do the right thing because they are now involved, when I got to the station, the commander was not happy with me . So I wrote petition to the IGP. The invited him to Accra, he ( Mr yeboa called me so we can sort things, when I got to the office he got me arrested for reporting him. They beat me up and seized my car before repatriation. Please how do I contact joy FM from Nigeria?? |

chudez0147:Joy FM's contact info is on the internet, I'm sure you can reach them from there. I don't know the nature of your issue, but some few things to share with you. when you're dealing with Ghanaian leadership, especially in your capacity as a 'foreigner', you have to tread cautiously You don't 'fight' them alone, you make sure there're at least 2 of you meeting with them. Especially a respectable country man or a local) You try to be cooperative and 'compromise' in some aspects. Like in most parts of Africa, most of our leaders have never been challenged, or 'embarrassed' so the least 'embarrassment' they're angry and want to show you where power lies. Etc etc All the best |

mdntiri:Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm now trying to contact joy FM. I'll post n update on that. The IGP already signed an investigator, by then I was already in Nigeria. When we spoke on phone, he ( investor ) said he can't carry on with the case only when am in the country. I couldn't go back because I was fearing for my life, and also the office of the Nigeria people in diaspora didn't get involved. I don't know who to trust anymore. Am asking, is it safe to go back and fight for my properties, or should I forget them and start all over here in Nigeria?? |

mdntiri:A customer sent some thugs to collect back the money he paid to me for a job I did for him . I got the customer and one of the thugs arrested, the customer gave back the money the thugs took from me to the police. When I got home that day, more of them thugs attacked me again for arresting their friends in their own country. They beat me up and robbed me of 2,600gh and some other items I had on me. I managed to escape to the police station. We made another arrest, but they released them on the ground that the thugs work with the police as informants. I went to the office of the PPSB in tafo. At first they promised to help but later asked me to go back to the police station and work with the station commander. I wasn't safe with the commander because he started cooperating with the thugs parents'. So I had to write a petition to the IGP in Accra. When they invited the officers involved to Accra that was when they called me to come to the station for peace talk. When I got to the station they told me I want to make them lose their job in their own country. They got me arrested, seized my car before repatriation. I hope this will do! |

chudez0147:Hmmm. This's sad to hear. I'm Ghanaian. Where I live I've seen three different sets of police constables in the past 5 years or so. I think they rotate them every 2 years probably, because of issues of corruption, 'familiarity', etc etc. I hope it's nationwide. BUT the big men, the commanders I still see around Your best bet for redress is 'publicity'/ exposure, where your Issue is discussed in public and the offending parties interrogated. Hopefully you have hard evidence and witnesses to back your case Unfortunately most people like to report their Issues to the radio/TV stations because they usually get results. The 'big men' hate to be 'embarrassed', so when their issues are out there, they quickly want to address it so they're not seen in bad light So contact the radio/TV stations. Go to their twitter pages, the police's/IGPs twitter pages. Get a lawyer's opinion. At least exhaust these avenues before you go further |

chudez0147:So when the customer collected your money from his thug and gave it to the police, was it given back to you? I didn't know the police has local PPSB offices, I thought they only operated from Accra. Your best bet is to still contact the PPSB, the Accra headquarters. If the 'thugs' are informants of the police like you're saying, it'd be difficult to deal with them. You know how these things go. If you've hard evidence the courts, IGP could help. But at least they should hand over your monies etc to you. You should have CCTV cameras on your premises to document stuff Get the Igbo, Yoruba etc chiefs of your area/Ghana involved in the case I take it your immigration status is not 'regular'? |

They gave the money the thugs collect to me the first time 600gh. But they didn't give the second 2, 600gh because the customer said he was not involved the second time.. Yes, they have PPSB office at tafo. One officer Zah was in charge of my case. I just want back my things . My car is more important. So that I can sale and start up here in Nigeria . mdntiri: |

This is bad, but bro where are you at the moment? If you’re in Nigeria, you can’t fight this case. You need to be in Ghana, Accra to say the least, you can’t win the local police station, fight them from the headquarters (provided you were a legal resident when all of this happened, it will be easier). We Dey Ghana, we do business with the highest level of carefulness especially with locals because of how bad our reputation is. chudez0147: |

my stay was legal. The thing is, police is a corruption organization all over the world, but I think africa is worse.. Those men have people over there at the headquarters. Talk about headquarters, Why didn't the headquarters search for me when they didn't hear from me again?? Even when I finally connected them from Nigeria, why didn't they ( headquarters) assure me of my safety so that I can come back to gh ?? Better still, why cant they continue with the case I already wrote petition. Black man will always be black man . businesshub101: |

Why didn’t headquarters search for you? They didn’t cause you were out of their jurisdiction. Better still involve Interpol here in Nigeria, they’ll copy Interpol in Ghana and also copy ecowas headquarters too. To be sincere, return back to Ghana, it’s not as hard as you’re painting it... chudez0147: |

Thank you for your advice. I think I'd contact interpol here in Nigeria. I just hope it works.. businesshub101: |
