And we mostly have endured trauma under your failed hubby who will mostly always be in the bad books of this country.. If he had lived up to expectations Buhari would have left an indelible mark in the hearts of many for many generations to come.. The mere mention of his name sparks anger and bitterness... I guess he has emjoyed his 8years of entitlement go and never be remembered again..

It is a critical issue that Aisha Buhari raised here. This is often neglected in developing countries. PTSD is a big issue in developed society. Good thing that finally Armed Forces Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Centre is being built to train professionals to help soldiers coming back from war fronts.

However, this should be extended to Nigerian Police personnel because facing armed criminals, bandits and Unknown Gun Men daily is not any different from war front scenario.

It is estimated that 22 US and UK veterans of the Afghan and Iraqi wars commit suicide daily due to PTSD. Google "22 press ups"

It is estimated that as many as half the US Vietnam War veterans are homeless.

Sadly, PTSD treatments in most cases don't go far enough. Many despite treatments still commit suicides.

New treatments such as EMDR and MDMA therapy are being added to the mix.

It is those waiting for the wife of a military dictator to be 'çonsistent' in criticising her husband's policies that I make a big joke of. If she realised all of this, what steps has he husband done to alleviate the situation? Of course, he is so incompetent another faction of the military has to fill in for a responsibility he could have undertaken

I am not a fan of Buhari, but I suggest you stick to what you know, and leave the things you don't know. There's nothing specifically called a trigger for PTSD. It could be anything situational, physical or even imaginary. Even a baby's cry could be a trigger depending on the circumstances. And this has nothing to do with gender. Mental health is not a respecter of gender. Don't jump into everything ans make insensitive/uninformed comments. Have some respect for those that have PTSD.
