Pls my daughter of 4 years prained he right leg anout 3 weeks ago...the following morning she was having fiscomfort on the leg so we took her to see a doctor,xray was done and doctor sai no fracture and dislocation.we were given pain relief and a cream to apply. We were told not to massage or apply heat.she was recovery and few days after we were told she fell on d same leg in sku and shes feeling pain again..we took her to se a physio and he examined herand presribed a drug for us.he also told us not to massage nor apply heat.the little girl is yet to bend her knee am am scared of the leg going bad cos of lack of massage and heat application.pls is it normal to leave a spained knee or leg wtout massage or heat application?

Please and please, massage the leg and apply hot water compress...
Their advice not to apply pressure or heat is in line with modern day medical practices which I do not comply with. The old way worked back then and it still works now - So, do it!!!

thats was my thought too untill d doctor said no massagingm.thank u so much..we will start d massaging and heat copression..thanks

Your daughter has an ankle sprain that will heal automatically because she's still a kid. Lift the leg up and apply ice. The Doctor is right and stop listening to resident doctors on Nairaland.
