izzou:.... but you and I know who is messing up the Thread and causing this nonsense. I see no one as Enemies nor do I hate anyone. These I've made clear to everyone. I understand you though, and I hope we can stop acting senseless and start engaging maturely. Whoever wins doesn't guarantee a better, prosperous Nigeria, we are all just hoping and praying to get it right. |

diggz:I don't like selective criticism but I will try to explain my stance as rationally and civil as I can. It must be noted that I haven't seen you call out the Hitler amongst us who proposed that people with a "certain blood" be wiped out from their own country. But that's okay. We are all scared of him and his guns. Now unto my militancy here, first of all, I hate irrationality and illogicality. I hate seeing things and behaviors that simply makes no sense. All of us can agree that nigeria is plagued with one of the worst leadership in the world. And I don't mean just today or the last few days, I mean, since our very formation. We've consistently had leaders who have never had the best interests of the masses at heart but one where politics has been a game of the elites. And this has been soo because the people have rarely ever attempted to seize power from the wicked elites. Now some of us who care about good governance and the eternal hope that our country gets better have always wished to see good leadership which is why some of us overlooked tribalism and wanted the PDP outby all means and we were successful at that, now, little did I know that the motivation for some of our then allies was clearly different than the motivation for us. In the past 7 years, at one point or the other, we've all complained about the gross ineptitude and incompetence of this government. A year after the APC mounted power, we had a recession, we made excuses for the government saying that it was because oil price has fallen, today, we have an oil boom for months but our budget deficit has ballooned and nigeria is the only country not reaping the benefit of the oil boom. Should we talk about education where students have been at home for close to a year? Should we talk about health care where our hospitals are nothing to write home about, where we have massive brain drain in the sector or the I'll equiped and underdeveloped hospitals? Should we talk about security where Boko Haram is still a thing 7 years later with established caliphates and lots of displaced people in IDP camps and the rising agitations around the country, from Oduduwa nation, to Biafra to, ijaw liberation to arewa nation. Different forms of agitation all around and an incompetent security infrastructure. What of power supply where 7 years later we have actually reduced our peak power production to half what it was? As I said, all of us have complained bitterly about the effects of poor governance. We remember how these politicians stole covid palliatives. Now we have a chance to send them a message, to change the change, to usher in an entirely new crop of leaders in the hope that we finally get it right. And you suddenly see people who complained bitterly with you as to the wicked leadership and poor governance now going back to these people, simply because you're caving into tribal instincts. You're not thinking for one second that these people have already been at the top and shown us how they've amassed our commonwealth abundantly for themselves, how they don't care about the common man but you want to go back to them. Peter Obi is not a perfect man, he's not a saint, but what he is, is a credible alternative. If they were another credible and popular alternative, I bet you I will be there! People just want to try something new. |

In Tinubu you've clearly seen a man who has come out very boldly to proclaim a sense of entitlement! I mean this man has come out there to tell us that he believes that IT IS HIS TURN! Right there you can see that this is all about a selfish aggrandizement, not about humble leadership. An ailing godfather who wants to rule for the sake of writing his name in history, even though his body and mind clearly fails. Is that not wickedness?? And you now have some people here who have been exposed as vile and rabid tribalists, whose antecedents show you that tribalism and kinsmanship is really a big deal for them. People who see tribe and habor hate towards other on the basis of tribe, you see these people backing this ailing leader just because of tribalism! Is that right? You see some who know that their choice of candidates is clearly questionable and then they engage in some sort of gaslighting and mental manipulation to justify being sellouts to their country. At this point, you look at it from a distance and say, fvck it! To hell with diplomacy, this is a war for the future of this country! How can we let people be brainwashed or brainwash others into soft pedaling and drinking poison because it's served with a tribal glass? You cannot say with a straight face that supporters of this APC are not demons because, as I said earlier, it beats logic and rationality. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Donjazet2: 12:26am On Oct 06, 2022 |
For me, politics is not a game, it has become a passion, a determination to do my part in getting our leadership right and I hope to be a key participant of our democracy next year. I don't just like when I see people look at politics as a game, people need to see politics as our lives. Our leaders shape our society. We must partake in it and not just sit by the sidelines and mock people who do. |

As we were saying, the difference between true organic love and fake love bought with our stolen commonwealth. Shame on those cheering this nonsense. You see your fellow citizens organizing themselves, using their own resources, in bid and dream to revolutionize the country but you woukd rather cheer those using our stolen money to buy fake love and if they're successful, they go back there and make out country worse. Grow a conscience!

raumdeuter:How come other South West states are not better than the Anambra and Enugu… Tinubu has been responsible for picking most governors in south west innit? Lagos has so much money and the development seen does not even tally with the funds but then, this can be said of all states. Some places in Oyo and Osun have not seen civilisation. You ran away from Oyo Larride ran Airmark ran Oasis ran from somewhere ![]() Y’all have used Lagos to hide the shame of the governors of other South West states Before you scream murder, go to Owerri, Enugu, and Anambra. Umahi of Ebonyi has tried as well.. now Osun has a governor that added up 95 and 15 to equate 100 |
