Segun Oni, Andy Uba, and Emeka Ihedioha existed because their successors were made to serve 4yrs from the date they took over office, making their States to have off-season elections. Omehia's case was different because Rotimi Amaechi didn't serve a full 4yrs in his first time, because of the period Omehia had already served, and that is why Rivers State does not have an off-season election. Omehia's case is different

This is an attestation to the scriptural injunction that says that "vain is the help of man"

Time was when Wike, in a bid to spite Amaechi, openly made a show of reinstating Omehia as an ex Governor.

People should note that only God's promotion, elevation and recognition is permanent and progressive.

Man will always come for you to return you to your former estate when there is a suspected flinch in loyalty.

Focus on God and stop running after man's validation. No one can curse whom God has blessed. A thousand Wike cannot remove a single Omehia that God recognised and installed.

Exactly! However, Governor Wike must know that all these his tantrums will never take him anywhere. Infact they will be the stepping stone to his political downfall. They north has given him a piece of their mind on his hardline stance against Atiku in so much that the latter robed the south in PDP of gaining the ticket to contest for the presidency.

However, Wike should know clearly, the north would never have voted him as president were he to clench the PDP ticket. Tambuwal treachery against him is a pointer. Peter Obi saw the unfolding charade and left early.

Exactly what I said weeks ago.
It is safe to say his national political career is over.
He has burnt too many bridges to escape the island of political isolation he finds himself.
Just cause or not negotiations and advocacy remain the only viable democratic tools to right wrongs within a system.
The only credit I give him at this time is that he has chosen to remain within the party structure instead of cross-carpeting.
Perhaps this will pave way for a more egalitarian institution in future of which he will always be remembered as the sacrificial lamb.

Let me break it down for you. Imagine NASS that already has a law in place for the benefits of former presidents now make a law to rescind those benefits. Imagine that NASS now says in the new law that all the benefits the former presidents have been paid, they should return it. Is that law implementable? Na just question I ask o.
