Na when i reach the said company I know say I don dey GLND PEOPLE HAND.. I was even told to bring 200k along when coming for my working permit and international transport because I can be sent to travel out at any time....

To cut long story short... since i knw say the things was scam..na there I change am for my friend nd curse him...na next morning around 3am I was already on my way to Nigeria...it's was really sad stressful experience for me sha
It shock me to how and why people don't do due assessment to what was told them , even if my mother or siblings tell me about business, job or anything , My smartness won't let me just agree to that .

years back a very good friend of mine wanted to run me several types of scams but failed woefully simply because I am that guy that like proofs and also ask relevant questions .

Next time ask question and ask also for clear proof and also importantly google is there for you to check on several things .

I was about to let the hurt and gross disappointment go but it seems this is happening to so many out there.
There are so many persons departing the shores of Nigeria weekly if not daily to Benin Republic, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and other surrounding countries on the false belief of going for a job only to be confronted with a reality that's a far cry from their expectations.

Even when the red flags were there i clearly ignored them on basis that i trusted my friend who lured me.

What will be your reflexive reaction if you are told that you have an opportunity to work with international gold cooperation that pays 200 dollars per week and a palatable working hour! All you need to do is come with 600 thousand Naira (or your local currency equivalent) for your work permit, medical fitness check and other working preliminaries for an immigrant. Wow! Sounds like your dream opportunity and a way to JAPA (JAPA is a common parlance for leaving Nigeria for a better country as a result of the debilitating condition of her economy, politics, and general societal flaws)

With the apparition of such opportunity, there is the inherent Thomas that serves as a scrutiny and check for every opportunity of scandalousness nonetheless the other side of us trumps this cynical clairvoyance with the sentiment of trust for the carrier of the “good” news. After a period of tussle with your inner matrix and your rationality, you decide to be daring and give it a risk, Afterall, you know this person offering the opportunity.

Well, the above is just a prelude to a one week of adventurousness and first-hand experience of how I fell for the Qnet job scam in Burkina Faso. Hence, it is a moral responsibility to unmask the hideous operation of this swelling swath in bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. Hopefully this will save any one from the whole daringness and desperado of going down to Burkina Faso, and serve as an information for security personnel to put these people in check. Hopefully, the companies being impersonated, sees reason to make a public disclaimer and proceed to legal action as this is a case of impersonation and sabotage of company’s reputation.

So, what are we talking about?
In the simplest way of expression, the whole job whisk is disguise of a marketing company called Qnet! Because of its stampeded image in the internet, many branches of their operation have found it impossible to garner more members, which is the only way of retrieving your startup capital. Bombay HC order better describes the ideological conception of Qnet when he said “It is a chain where a person is fooled and then he is trained to fool others to earn money”.

A simple query in the web with the following key words “is Qnet a scam”? will fetch several articles warning against their unethical operation. Wikipedia extensively exposes Qnet, down to revealing that its operation is considered illicit in many countries “The company operates legally in some countries, but has been charged as a Ponzi scheme and multi-level marketing in countries like India. The government of India and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India banned the site in the country after a protest spread in Bangalore”.

Now you see why they take different names to obfuscate their true identity; because if you are told “Qnet”, you will do your findings and save yourself the hassle and futile escapade.

Inside Qnet bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso
the operation of this unethical group is easy to flaw in an in-person view of their lodging accommodation and supposed company house. They operate sanctimoniously and talk so much about being millionaires back home and being “on a low” in Burkina Faso.

They stay in a rented 2-bedroom flat apartment which is uncomfortably overcrowded with over house mates. They reverence the new intakes and try to act like it’s just a process of acculturation, but in reality it is a bait.

Their office of operation is stamped with motivational quotes and they try to compel you to sign a form of membership. On this form, there is a section that confirms your willingness to join and ensures you are not coerce but in reality, they coarse you with every non-violent way possible. A retrospective view of the setting can easily make one associate them with a level of sectism and even cultism by extension of reasoning.

So why do they still operate and gain new members?
Imagine telling your friends and family that you are finally leaving Nigeria for search of a greener pasture, if you are that type, you may even brag about it and to crown it, this swath is bobo Dioulasso advice you to come without doing your proper immigration paper and working with a syndicate of currency exchangers and illegal transit agent, they manage to smuggle you through the blind spots of the borders between countries.

Hence, when it is dawn on the new recruits that they have just been swindled by their friend or family, they undergo a period of shock and disillusionment, considering their trust that has been trampled upon, this matures to a state of compromise and salvage when they consider the people back home that they have bragged to about their relocation and the entire journey back home especially alone, without the assistant of the Qnet agents that plot the illicit travel; they regret it all but reluctantly ossifies to a level of salvage, a spirit of resilience that motivates them to thrive irrespective of the odds. And like religion, once they accept this fate, they start to believe in it and begin their own campaign to recruit more people, using new pseudonym to seduce more people to this trap!

My take and solution
To tackle this syndicate is something beyond the writings of a scholar. Well, a couple person will be saved from this Burkina Faso job scam, but in the near distance, the Qnet operation in Burkina Faso will find a different synonym to mask their identity and in fact, facilitate more illegal migration and scam. The onus therefor lies in the hands of the government of Burkina Faso and the companies being impersonated to expedite action to stop this sect. The banning of their operation by countries like India and many more is the best call to action and I hope Burkina Faso follows suit.

Finally, before traveling out of your country or going for any opportunity, make sure to do exponential research of the opportunity, ask for images, videos, and every other thing that can clear every doubt.

I have chosen to exclude name mentioning and exact location description unless I am required by the rightful parties. I for one will make sure the rightful parties are informed of this scam, stay safe and daring!
My very good friend was also a victim these mess he narrowly escaped from their camp.

Andy's127ok please i wanted doing a petittion to the authorities. A lot is happening that is eluding these authorities.
Between Nigeria and Burkina Faso or even Benin Republic, a lot is slipping through the cracks.
This venture made me realise that people are ferried into Benin Republic even without passport. I went to and fro and no single check by the authorities on the water ways.

We need this to go into the mainstream media and social media.

I was in Ghana when a friend that based in abuja brought such to me to verify a certain company that his friend said the company is in Ghana and pays 400usd weekly that his friend said he's already making millions and building houses e.t.c

How can you ask the same person that is trying to scam you question and expect truth from him? The question should be asked to external people who are not ignorant not those that will tell you to put everything in prayers only .

Now these are the question I asked my guy that nearly fall same victim ........ I asked How a company in Ghana that pay such huge amount will want to employ you A Nigerian just like that people don finish for Ghana?

Second .I asked again do you believe a company in Ghana that I am living in will be able to pay workers 400usd weekly do Ghana pay weekly ?

3rd I ask him to tell his friend that claimed he is already making it big to make the small payment on his behalf so that once he start work he will pay him back .

I then ask him to tell his guy to send the address that I will personally go there in Eastern Region for verification . After these steps the guy said his guy couldn't provide any response and Thanked me for saving him from such planned scam .

NEXT ask and ask to the right person that's my point and you can also think deep on your own to understand that scam always sounds real and promising .

QNET is a well-known global e-commerce company that uses the direct-selling model to empower its distributors to become resellers of a wide range of products it offers in health, wellness, lifestyle, and education through an e-commerce platform.

The company has been in business for over 24 years and operates in countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Germany. They have become popular with consumers while offering a great business opportunity for thousands of people who join as independent representatives. Unfortunately, some scammers exploit the company's popularity and ideology of Raising Yourself to Help Mankind (RYTHM) to carry out fraudulent activities. The company condemns these scams and is prepared to join anyone willing to help clump down such.

QNET does not recruit people or promise travel opportunities; they only sell products and provide opportunities for people who want to make an honest income or build their business by becoming independent representatives of the company.

True QNET representatives will not offer a job opportunity, ask you to relocate to a different country, or ask you to pay money for a work permit or medical fitness checks. Anyone making such claims is fake and not from QNET.

In short, QNET is a company that makes it possible for distributors to sell products, and in return, they earn commissions on the sales they make. They are not a recruitment agency, as some fraudsters often claim in their scams.

The company is one of the world’s largest direct-selling and e-commerce companies. It provides an excellent opportunity for people who sign up as distributors to become entrepreneurs and earn a decent income.

A quick search on QNET.net will provide you with all the facts on the company.

I am very sorry you had to go through this ordeal but like you said it is very necessary to go a step further to research any company that asks you to bring a huge amount of money and travel to another country in Africa just to get a job.

That being said, if a step further had been taken to search QNET on Google and go to their official website at https://www.qnet.net/. The first thing you would notice is a huge warning stating that there are fake employment offers using QNET’s name

QNET is a direct-selling company that offers a wide range of products in the area of health, wellness, lifestyle, and education through an e-commerce platform. These products are always unique and cannot be found anywhere else. It is headquartered in Hong Kong and has offices and agency partnerships in over 25 countries worldwide. The brand is so huge and credible that it sponsors the famous Manchester City Football Club and the African Club League Championships of CAF. They have a world-class standard university in Malaysia which people also impersonate.

The organization has been in business for 23 years and has had product sales in 100+ countries, a presence in 25+ countries through offices and agencies, and over 1,000 employees of around 50 nationalities.

The only way to make money with QNET is through product sales and not through any form of recruitment whatsoever. Simply put, QNET pays you the money meant to go to advertising for the product because you will have advertised on its behalf. It is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It is a business that requires you to work hard, make strategic plans for growth, be patient, committed, and goal-oriented. QNET uses a compensation plan that calculates commissions payable to you based on the sales volume generated through your referrals on the product sales in our e-commerce portal.

It is quite unfortunate you had to go through this experience. Please report and narrate your ordeal to this email: network.integrity@qnet.net so that proper structures can be set up to catch these fraudsters and save more people from being scammed.

Hmmm, I know how painful it is to be a victim of fraud schemes and lose money that you could've used for something else, the pain no be here. However, it is more painful and unfair when one particular company keeps taking the fall for a crime it has no relation to. This is the case of QNET, the flagship business of the QI Group, which is about 24 years old and has a company size of 501 to 1,000.
They use the direct selling model to harness the power of technology that gives customers worldwide access to unique, high-quality products and services while allowing them to build a sales business by promoting these products. Let's research more to discover who QNET is so we don’t continue being scammed.
You mentioned they had been banned in some countries. Yet, they are very active with a footprint in the Middle East, South and East Asia, Africa, Central Asia, and Europe. They have helped develop micro-entrepreneurs in many emerging economies.
It is regrettable and of great concern when fake job offers are put out in the name of QNET, inviting people to interviews and requesting money, admissions and so on.
When you type the name QNET, on google, the direct link to their website, qnet.net, is the first thing you see. When you click on this link and open the website, a pop-up urgent warning message is the first thing you see, disclaiming fake employment offers using the QNET name. You can reach out to them on that site to inquire if the people claiming to provide you with anything are legitimate.

Too bad you fell for Qnet.

I almost fell for their juicy lies over here in Nigeria, Port-harcourt.

I was introduced by my uncle, under the cover of a "Job Offer". I was to come over with 550,000 Naira.

A little research and the testimonies of others here on Nairaland and other similar platforms made me dodged that bomb.

These are some of the names they operate with here in Nigeria.

Gold Quest International, Qnet, Oil Quest International, Qi group of company, Quest International.
How can one company have so many different names? I keep reading about severe incidents of various scamming activities by “QNET”. Yet when you read the stories in the middle of the controversies, you realise the names of the scamming companies only sound like QNET. My friend also fell for this scam and tried convincing me to follow suit. I have noticed that scammers introduce QNET with different names, especially the old brand names of Qnet, only to exploit people.

I decided to research why the scammers keep using such identities to represent QNET in their fraudulent activities. I visited their official website on https://www.QNET.net/ to learn about their history and Googled the names. I learned that the company was once called Gold Quest and later became Quest Net until they changed to QNET. Usually, Brands do this to expand their marketing businesses, like MTN, which changed from Areeba.

However, the organisation using the name Gold Quest International is not QNET. They are an entirely different brand in Akute Road, Nigeria. Most scammers also use this brand name to represent QNET in their activities. Therefore, we should shine our eyes by investigating companies whenever we are approached. The website always has a 'contact us' option for more inquiries.
With a visit to their website, you are welcomed with a warning statement advising audiences to avoid fake job offers in the name of QNET and to report scammers on their hotline email: network.integrity@QNET.net.

It's good you did your research about them, and I hope we all make it a habit to go online and find out more about companies when they are introduced to us. I am glad I did not become a victim, and you should not.

Thank you for this.
I got introduced into this recently but my instinct told me to research about the company and here we are; realizing it’s a scam.

If it’s too good to be true, then it isn’t.
Thank God.
